🆕 OECD report highlights 5 #innovation trends in #PublicServices, drawn from nearly 800 cases across 83 countries. ➡️ Public services are the main touchpoints between governments and people. As societies change, so do the expectations placed on public services, prompting governments to find innovative ways to meet these evolving needs.   It describes pioneering practices that demonstrate governments’ commitment to promoting principles of human-centred innovation of public services, as put forward by the OECD Recommendation on Human-centred Public Administrative Services. These cases reflect a shared understanding that effective public services must not only be efficient but also inclusive, accessible and adaptable to people’s needs. 📢 Today, OECD Member Countries and Brazil adopted the OECD Recommendation on #InformationIntegrity. This Recommendation is an ambitious international standard that provides a comprehensive public policy framework to promote transparency and support collaboration among key stakeholders committed to strengthening the integrity of the information environment and freedom of opinion and expression. It provides guidance for policymakers looking at three mutually reinforcing policy areas: ➡️ Strengthen societal resilience  ➡️ Enhance the transparency, accountability, and plurality of information sources   ➡️ Upgrade institutional architecture and open government practices  Drawing on the policy framework presented in the OECD - OCDE report "Facts not Fakes: Tackling Disinformation, Strengthening Information Integrity", the Recommendation incorporates input from a wide range of stakeholders — such as journalists, media organisations, civil society, academia, and the private sector. 🌍 Building Trust and Reinforcing Democracy 🌟 2024 OECD Global Forum     On 21-22 October, Milan became a centre for global dialogue as the OECD Global Forum on Building Trust and Reinforcing Democracy, hosted by the Italian government, convened over 500 participants from 80 countries. Among them were Ministers, state secretaries, and deputy Ministers, alongside leaders from business, civil society, media, and academia. The Forum was a powerful demonstration of collective commitment to addressing democracy's pressing challenges. 🌍 Today is International #AntiCorruptionDay! Are countries equipped with the right tools to tackle corruption risks? Over the years, governments have strengthened anti-corruption regulations, yet the challenge lies in turning policies into action. To address this, reliable data is crucial. The OECD Public Integrity Indicators (PIIs) are a data-driven initiative that helps assess the strengths and weaknesses in national integrity frameworks. Since their launch in 2021, the PIIs have empowered countries to mitigate corruption risks. On International Anti-Corruption Day, we are excited to share that 23 new countries have joined the PIIs, with data for 55 countries now available on our portal, underscoring a shared global commitment to integrity. The OECD Public Integrity Indicators (PIIs) offer a data-driven approach to help countries evaluate the strengths and weaknesses of their national integrity systems and their implementation.
