[🌱 Innovation: Highlights from Slavica Djonovic, PhD, Chief Scientific Officer at Elicit Plant, at the Biostimulant World Congress!] We were honored to speak at the 2024 Biostimulant World Congress, the largest international event dedicated to agricultural biostimulants and groundbreaking scientific discoveries, held from November 12-15 at the Miami Beach Convention Center. This event brought together over 1,600 participants from 64 countries, providing an outstanding platform to discuss the latest scientific advancements and sector innovations. Here are the key points presented by Slavica during her talk, showcasing the potential of our technology in addressing the major challenges of agriculture amid climate uncertainties. 🔬 Phytosterols: A Biological Solution to Water Stress Phytosterols work at the heart of plant defense mechanisms. They induce production of salicylic acid (SA), the main signaling molecule of Systemic Acquired Resistance (SAR) that provides systemic and long-lasting effect. This action enhances specific metabolic responses, preparing plants to better withstand water scarcity in advance. 💧 Reducing Water Loss and Optimizing Water Efficiency The external application of phytosterols promotes partial stomatal closure, reducing transpiration without compromising photosynthesis. The result: treated plants lose less water, use water more efficiently, and maintain better soil moisture. 📈 Tangible Results Under Real-World Conditions With over 282 trials conducted across three continents (Europe, Brazil, United States), Elicit Plant products show an 85% success rate, reducing plant water requirements by up to 20% and delivering average yield increases of 10% in maize. The effectiveness of phytosterols has proven consistent, even in varied climate environments, demonstrating their potential for global adoption. This congress provided a valuable opportunity to share these scientific advances with the international community, and we are proud to contribute to more resilient and sustainable agriculture! #BiostimulantWorldCongress #ElicitPlant #PhytosterolTechnology #SustainableAgriculture

[Ralph Beckers' Talk at the AFCOME 2024 International Conference: Key Highlights 🌍] Yesterday, at the AFCOME 2024 International Conference, Ralph Beckers, Strategy and Marketing Director at Elicit Plant, shared his vision for innovative solutions to strengthen agricultural resilience in the face of climate change challenges. With periods of water scarcity and heatwaves becoming the norm, finding sustainable solutions to protect crops is essential. 🔹 The Difference Between Water Stress and Drought Ralph highlighted that while drought is a prolonged lack of rainfall, water stress occurs as soon as the water available in the soil becomes insufficient to meet crop needs. Even short episodes of water stress directly impact yields, as plants reduce their activity to conserve water, which hinders their growth. 🔹 Phytosterols: A Direct Response to Climate Extremes Phytosterols, the core of Elicit Plant's biostimulants, activate plants' natural defenses against environmental stress. By acting directly on metabolic processes, they help crops optimize water use and better withstand episodes of water stress. 🔹 Concrete and Proven Results Trials conducted across three continents show notable effectiveness, with an 85% success rate across 282 trials. Even in environments marked by extreme climatic conditions, treated crops demonstrate consistent yield gains, proving the potential of phytosterols to enhance agricultural resilience. A big thank you to AFCOME President Alexis Portheault, organizer Laurent Pasquier, and speakers Sébastien Windsor, Louis Bodin, Olivier Descroizette, Benjamin Pambet, and Joan Girona for the quality and complementarity of their presentations, which greatly enriched the discussions on current agricultural challenges. #ClimateChange #AgriculturalResilience #AgronomicInnovation #SustainableAgriculture
