The more knowledge you have, the more confident and less stressed you’ll feel. Mindful Presence: Practice staying present with your clients. This not only enhances your effectiveness but also allows you to release the emotional weight of their struggles. Diversify Your Client Load: If possible, consider having a range of clients with varying levels of distress. This balance can help mitigate the emotional toll of working with those in particularly difficult situations.

In my experience, setting boundaries are the utmost important key to self management, and not getting burned out or completely turned off by the intensity and often drama that comes in the Arts. I personally post hours of operation and when a client doesn't adhere to them, I have my system do an auto response to day thank you for contacting us, we value your business and we will get back to you during normal business hours. It has been a life saver for my own sanity!

🛑 Definir limites entre trabalho e vida pessoal é fundamental, mas a realidade é que, em muitas situações, a empatia exigida consome energia emocional, mesmo com barreiras bem estabelecidas. 💪 Práticas de autocuidado são essenciais, mas, muitas vezes, não bastam para compensar a carga emocional do trabalho de apoio constante. 🧠 Além de apoio profissional, iniciativas organizacionais, como programas de suporte ao colaborador e uma cultura de apoio emocional, podem ajudar a reduzir o peso da exaustão emocional.

As a YP Coach and Peer mentor I encourage SELF REGULATION. Its not something we know as adolescents or adults until we know. I'll suggest the following strategies: 1) deep breathing, 2) mindfulness 3) acceptance 4) challenging thoughts 5) meditation or prayer I prefer to lead clients down the route of self-regulation so they can learn and discern how to respond to feelings, emotions, and thoughts.

En mi experiencia, es importante en los momentos de malestar emocional, descargar esa energía negatica compensando con cosas que nos gustan. Por ejemplo, escuchar alguna canción que nos encante, pasar tiempo al aire libre, tomar sol, generar endorfinas de las que nos hacen bien. Y según que tipo de ayuda estemos dando, si esos clientes nos tratan mal, pensar que no es algo personal, intentar entender que no es con nosotros.
