    Yesterday, I had the opportunity to present the growing role of AI in HR and L&D. In my session, I mentioned several developments in the field of AI and explored ways it is assisting L&D professionals in developing better, easier-to-learn, and more engaging learning material. One of the key points I discussed was how tools like Valamis can quickly generate new lessons and translate them into multiple languages, enabling learners to access content in their native language. This is important because research, such as the study "Translanguaging in Adult Basic Education Worldwide" by Anna Kaiper-Marquez (2023), demonstrates how using both native and target languages can enhance understanding and engagement. When learners have access to content in their own language, they are better able to grasp new concepts and connect with the material. AI presents opportunities to make learning material more accessible and suited to the many demands of the modern workforce as we continue to advance in the learning and development field. By utilizing AI to produce and translate educational content, we can enhance everyone's educational experience.
