    MRS Proceedings

    The main objective of this work was to investigate the possibility of combining pulsed laser deposition (PLD) and pulsed laser annealing to realize p-type Si1-xGex thin films suitable for post-processing MEMS on top of standard pre-fabricated driving electronics.

  • Network Performance Consulting

    I led a team of four engineers consulting the customer about MSS Core, OSS, IP Backbone and Transmission network improvement.

    During the project course, we conducted several audits on the network and produced recommendations for network improvement and future network growth plans.

    The project was well-received by the customer and resulted in additional services sales for Ericsson in Georgia

  • Operations Support System (OSS) Upgrade

    Usually, Operations Support System (OSS) upgrade projects are one of the highest risk projects. OSS faults, missing functionality or unexpected behavior will negatively impact network monitoring and operations activities.

    This was the first OSS project in Ericsson's Northern Europe and Central Asia region to be off-shored to India. The solution architect was based in Finland and I was in Georgia - which challenged my ability of virtual team management and coordination.

    The project was delivered with better margin than planned, because of the off-shored delivery model used, and on-time with customer-certified quality.

  • Core Network Modernization and Expansion

    -

    Within this project, I oversaw the swap of one of the Media Gateways (MGW) in the capital city of Tbilisi and the integration of new Home Location Register (HLR) in the coastal city of Batumi, where the HLR redundancy mechanism was first introduced in the customer network.

    Both implementations were done successfully with no service outages, delivered on-time and within budget.

  • Modeling and Characterization of VLSI MOSFET

    -

    The main objective of the project was to develop a computer model for the MOS transistor to be used for analog and digital circuit design in CAD tools.
    Our team of two also developed an automated measurements program using MATLAB software to characterize MOS transistors, as well as an automated program to extract the model parameters from the measured characteristics.
