❤️‍🔥 Do you want to know how to make your developers’ hearts beat faster and their coding life more enjoyable? 💡Then have a closer look at viesure’s brand new solution from our cloud platform engineering team: 🎉Independent reconcilers🎉 What does that mean? Everything running on our stable cluster (deployments, dynamic environments, databases etc.) is described in one single git repository in *.yaml files.  Previously, there was one single kcc reconciler checking out this repository and applying the resources to the cluster. Sounds great, but it had two major flaws: 1.) If an application was deployed right before yours, you had to wait until the previous application had finished (which could take up to ten minutes depending on the complexity) 2.) If someone made a mistake and the application didn’t start, the reconciler waited five minutes until it gave up and continued. And that then happened in every following run. Worst case, it was even possible to completely mess up the reconciler so that it no longer worked at all. 🎯Now, we’ve split the reconcilers into several instances. Here, the interesting part is that dynamic environments now each have their own reconciler. This means that you can no longer mess up other applications with branches you are currently developing. This dedicated reconciler speeds up deployment steps enormously, because it only contains resources necessary for the dyn-env and nothing else. It doesn’t need to wait for anything before starting to apply the changes. All in all, you can expect faster dyn-env deployments in the range of two to fifteen minutes, mostly around five minutes depending on the combination💪 More information will follow soon - so stay tuned⌚️ #independentreconcilers #cloudoperations #creatingtomorrow

You’ve already seen innovation and creativity through the lens of a software tester and project manager. Today, we present you with a statement from Natalia Nazarko, UX designer at #InfinityGroup. 💡 Innovation and creativity, integral to the role of a UX designer, allow for going beyond the usual patterns — harnessing available tools and methods to create a unique solution. However, does ‘new’ always equal ‘useful’? 🤔 According to Natalia, not necessarily: “In the creativity-usability relationship, it’s important to maintain a balance and remain attentive to the end user’s perspective. (...) [The UX designer should focus on] verifying whether the new solution genuinely meets the user’s needs, whether it surpasses the previous one and brings measurable benefits. Because it’s not about changing the user experience [per se], it’s about improving it”. Nevertheless, improving user experience doesn’t exclude innovation. Natalia emphasises that “each design process creates something different from what we’ve done prior, this way fitting the innovation definition”.
