The Valencian government also acknowledged our plant as a Strategic Industrial Project. 🌟 💎 We make non-precious metals behave as if they were precious. Is it magic?   No, it is the result of more than 10 years of R&D in the lab by Gonzalo Abellán Sáez and his research team. That is why we facilitate #electrolysis using common metals such as nickel or iron, instead of other more scarce, expensive, and geographically concentrated metals such as platinum, iridium, and other derivatives. #PGMfree   The upshot is a more efficient and sustainable process that will reduce the cost of producing #greenhydrogen, a major challenge for the global industry.   🏅 This work has earned us the Cinco Días Award by PRISA for the most innovative business initiative with the university.   Our co-founder and CTO says, “The feeling of seeing a discovery go from the lab to the market is incredible. One month ago DANA hit #Valencia, the city we call home. All our teams jumped - in to help. But we also realized this was going to be a mid & long term support journey. Hence, we now have DANA as a key focus for Fundación Felisa, our family foundation, who will carry on the immediate but also recovery work in the coming years. Our idea is to take a systemic approach collaborating with public, private and non profit organizations, and multiply our contribution with our catalyst work to benefit those in most need. We have also created a dedicated Relief & Recovery Fund (https://lnkd.in/dsDzgE3W), where a growing list of families around the globe are joining us to together deploy financial resources to the challenges we are living. As we speak we continue our logistic response with our 7000 sqm logistic center shipping 60 vans/day of needed items to vulnerable beneficiaries, and we are rolling out a set of new projects around inclusive mobility, unemployment, sports and housing reconstruction. ---- Hace un mes, la DANA golpeó #Valencia, mi ciudad. 📌 The Berlin Electrolyser Conference #BEC24 provided a remarkable platform this week to explore the advancements shaping the future of #electrolysis technologies.   It was an honor for #Matteco to contribute to the dialogue and collaborate with such an innovative and forward-thinking community.    Our colleagues Alberto Piñero de Miguel, Jorge Romero, and Manuel Quesada Vilar presented insights on the transformative potential of our next-generation PGM-free catalysts and electrodes. These cutting-edge materials, already being integrated into stacks by leading global manufacturers, are driving significant progress in the #hydrogen economy.    📈 We showcased our materials' exceptional performance and stability for alkaline and AEM electrolysis, supported by test results from prestigious independent research institutions.    ⚙️ The excitement surrounding the upcoming launch of our new production facility in Valencia was also palpable.
