#ITACAScience 🔵 Today we share an article📝 with the participation of 👨🔬 Pablo Ferri, Carlos Sáez and Juan Miguel García, researchers from BDSLab - Biomedical Data Science Lab - ITACA (UPV). ✏️This study developes and evaluates a deep classifier that can effectively prioritize Emergency Medical Call Incidents (#EMCI) according to their life-threatening level under the presence of dataset shifts. 👨🏫"Considering the advanced capabilities of deep continual text models in assessing the life-threatening level of the most severe incidents, the implementation of the CL routines developed in this study for EMCI triage will have a significant and positive direct impact on patient well-being and the sustainability of health services", say the ITACA researchers. 👉Full article here🔗: https://lnkd.in/d6aEjQs7 #ITACAScience #DeepLearning #EmergencyCare #MedicalInnovation

🌍 Exploring Decarbonization in Mobility🚲🚗🚍🚌: A Case Study in #València 👉Our latest study analyzes the potential for decarbonizing mobility in València and its metropolitan area, identifying critical and vulnerable areas while proposing strategic solutions. 📊 Key Insights ✅Transport Emissions: In València, over 50% of CO₂ emissions originate from private and commercial transport. 🚗 ✅Journey Concentration: The Basic Mobility Plan for the metropolitan area of València reveals that 40% of journeys in the province occur within this region. ✅Emissions Disparity: Neighborhoods like Arrancapins experience high levels of CO₂ and NOx emissions, while areas such as El Calvari and Les Tendetes have significantly lower values. ✅Car-Sharing Awareness: Low awareness of car-sharing poses a significant obstacle in València. Increasing its visibility through active promotion by companies and the City Council is essential. ✅Public Transport Infrastructure: Municipalities like Paterna and Torrent require improved public transport infrastructure to address high commuter activity. 🚌 📝This research underscores the need for targeted interventions to foster sustainable and equitable urban environments. 🧐Details here: https://lnkd.in/dD56U9wD #Decarbonization #SustainableMobility #ClimateAction #UrbanPlanning #València
