🔵 We close the 2024 season of the #GirbauLab Innovators Club with an exercise in exploration through surprising flavors, textures and colors, to unlock the palate and reflect on the idea of abstraction and the role our senses can play in our ability to innovate. Yesterday's session with chef Miquel Coulibaly from Comida Codac was a festival of flavors and interesting reflections. Here are some key ideas, from the perspective of our sense of taste: • Dare to unlearn. • Behind every bite lies infinite possibilities.  • We need a phase of disconnection and abstraction to pose new questions and open the door to extraordinary discoveries. • We must not perpetuate the past culinary habits and experiences; we must nurture the new with priority and determination. • The future has not yet happened, and precisely for that reason, we should leave our preconceptions aside. Carmen, the Founder and Chief Creative and Innovation Officer of Ananas Anam Ltd, is a trailblazing entrepreneur in the textile industry. Her remarkable work has bridged the gap between 𝗽𝗲𝗼𝗽𝗹𝗲, 𝗻𝗮𝘁𝘂𝗿𝗲, 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗯𝘂𝘀𝗶𝗻𝗲𝘀𝘀 by creating an 𝗶𝗻𝗻𝗼𝘃𝗮𝘁𝗶𝘃𝗲 𝗻𝗮𝘁𝘂𝗿𝗮𝗹 𝗳𝗮𝗯𝗿𝗶𝗰 𝗱𝗲𝗿𝗶𝘃𝗲𝗱 𝗳𝗿𝗼𝗺 𝗽𝗶𝗻𝗲𝗮𝗽𝗽𝗹𝗲 𝗹𝗲𝗮𝗳 𝗳𝗶𝗯𝗲𝗿𝘀.⁣ ⁣ Having eagerly anticipated Carmen's visit, we were thrilled to host her at the Club. Students from EADA Business School collaborate with #GirbauLAB in a project to analyze the textile waste produced by laundries , focusing specifically on hotel textiles such as sheets and towels. Their goal is to assess the volume of cotton waste generated and its associated environmental impacts, exploring a collaborative circular solution through the revalorization of solid waste generated at the end of the textile lifecycle. 𝗣𝗮𝗰𝘁𝗲 𝗠𝗼𝗱𝗮 𝗖𝗶𝗿𝗰𝘂𝗹𝗮𝗿, dos anys de compromís cap a la circularitat de la cadena de valor del tèxtil. Avui s'ha celebrat la sessió de balanç dels dos primers anys de treball del Pacte per a la Moda Circular i el futur de la iniciativa, en la que es dibuixen reptes urgents i rellevants: -Reduir la generació de residu tèxtil a Catalunya i revertir tendència creixent. -Impulsar la recollida selectiva tèxtil que avui segueix estancada.  -Seguir promovent la reutilització local.  -Escalar projectes cap a una indústria regenerativa. -Reforçar la valorització material del residu recollit.  -Augmentar la sensibilització a la ciutadania i administració local. Aquest dos primers anys marquen l’inici d’una aposta molt necessària cap a la circularitat amb voluntat d’impacte social i ambiental en l’ àmbit de la moda, parament de la llar i roba professional.
