1 Certification Information

The latest certification information for Oracle Database 12c Release 1 (12.1) is available on My Oracle Support at

The following or later versions of the operating system are supported for Oracle Database 12c Release 1 (12.1) for Linux on POWER Systems:

  • Red Hat Enterprise Linux Server 7.1

  • SUSE Linux Enterprise Server 12

Starting with release 12.1.0.2, Oracle Database Client is supported on Linux on Power (64-Bit).

2 Unsupported Product

Pro*COBOL is not supported on Linux on POWER Systems.

3 Other Known Issues

The following section contains information about issues related to Oracle Database 12c and associated products:

3.1 Pro*C Does Not Support C99 Headers

Pro*C parser fails to recognize C99 headers on Linux on POWER Systems.

This issue has no workaround.

This issue is tracked with Oracle bug 6142780.
