We’re the world’s leading acoustic company – and our mission is to create a world that sounds good to everyone.
Om os
When we set out to create the most effective acoustic solutions on Earth we weren’t thinking about ceiling tiles or wall panels. We were thinking about people. The student struggling to hear. The businessperson trying to concentrate. The couple wanting an intimate conversation over dinner out. It’s what inspires us to design our beautiful collection of acoustic ceilings and wall panels that are transforming almost every imaginable place and space. Bringing concentration to classrooms, enjoyment to restaurants and dampening machine and human noise in hospitals, factories, homes, offices and hotel suites. Our products don’t just have certified noise reduction ratings. They come in contemporary colours, surfaces and styles. They improve air quality and are hygienic. Some even reflect more than 90% of daylight to save energy and make it easier to see. And above all, our products last – until they’re recycled to make more. And because we believe the next generation of acoustic solutions shouldn’t be at the expense of the next generation of people, we achieve all of this through sustainable innovation, pioneering closed‑loop recycling and cleaner, leaner manufacturing.

Tripla Mall in Helsinki, Finland consumes approximately 40 percent less energy and clean water when compared to similar new buildings, which helped it achieve LEED / U.S. Green Building Council Certification at the Platinum level. A stormwater system allows water to either be absorbed into the ground or recycled for areas such as the car wash, and a green roof area takes up approximately 40 percent of the entire roof area. To provide optimal sound control while meeting LEED certification requirements, Rockfon Mono Acoustic was installed over the escalators, flanked by a halo-like sunken light strip, with Rockfon Industrial acoustic baffles installed into aluminium surfaces. Nestled in the masterplanned Porta Nuova district in Milan, Italy, the 124-metre Unipol Tower has quickly become a landmark for the city's growing skyline. Distinctly elliptical, the new office building for insurance company Unipol Group was designed by Mario Cucinella Architects with a "sensory architecture" approach and a dynamic double-skin facade. The acoustics of its atrium and restaurant was optimised with the installation of the monolithic ceiling solution Rockfon Mono Acoustic, integrated seamlessly with the existing drywall structures to contribute to indoor environmental comfort for approximately 650 employees. The project team is seeking LEED green building certification at the Platinum level for the tower, for which Rockfon acoustic solutions contribute in scoring. Rockfon is pleased to announce that improved binder technology will be implemented in the production line at the ROCKWOOL Roermond factory in the Netherlands. The new technology will result in a reduction in ammonia emissions of approximately 70 percent at the product level, which represents a reduction of approximately 10 percent in the total ammonia emissions of the entire plant. There is potential for a further 5 to 10 percent reduction across the following years.
