Major success for "Germany's Space Valley": NATO invests in Bavarian start-up Isar Aerospace 🚀 The Munich-based space start-up Isar Aerospace is one of the leading private space companies in Europe. NATO's significant investment of 65 million euros is intended to ensure Europe's technological sovereignty and expand the series production of launch vehicles. It is particularly noteworthy that Isar Aerospace was founded by three students from the Technische Universität München (Technical University of Munich) and now employs over 400 people from more than 50 nations. The start-up was also supported by Invest in Bavaria.🌍 Bavaria continues to impress as an innovation hub in the mobility & aerospace sector. Isar Aerospace also has access to valuable resources thanks to the Hightech Agenda Bayern, which invests 5.5 billion euros in research and development. The German Ministry of Defence has announced that the Bundestag's budget committee has approved funding for the procurement of Meteor air-to-air guided missiles. This third batch of missiles, costing approximately EUR 521 million, is part of a follow-up measure to earlier deliveries, enhancing the Eurofighter's combat capabilities. Meteor is a state-of-the-art Beyond Visual Range Air-to-Air Missile (BVRAAM) system developed by MBDA in collaboration with six European nations. Designed to meet the challenges of modern air combat, the missile equips Eurofighter Typhoons with unparalleled precision and lethality, capable of engaging targets from fast jets to unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs) under all weather conditions. The missile’s advanced active radar seeker enables reliable target detection and engagement even in cluttered or countermeasure-heavy environments. Furthermore, its data link communication capability allows it to operate within a networked environment, leveraging third-party data for flexible operational deployment. That was the provocative question posed at the meeting of the German Air Cargo Association (acd) on the eve of the ILA trade show in Berlin (04JUN24). The result of the experts’ contributions is summarized here: Innovative forms of propulsion in aviation and therefore also cargo transportation are very much on the advance. Where do we stand? Col. Markus Reisner talks about the Phase 7 of the Ukraine War. 700 thousand russian soldiers to be expected in war operations at end of 2024. 10.000 cruise missiles were fired in the Ukraine war so far compared to 530 cruise missiles during the Irak war. 80 percent of Ukraines critical infrastructure is destroyed now. 12 hour blackouts daily are normal in Ukraine today. 90.000 artillery shells per day from Russia and 20.000 from Ukraine are daily fired still. FPVs and electronic warfare are the gamechangers, but no other army has the capabilities of these innovative partial strikers. The total deadly transparency of the battlefield that FPV drones create drives Russian and Ukrainian soldiers to committ suicide on large scale. Nobody is interested in international humanitarian law any more. The American election will massively change the situation and the choices. The West must face the reality and make tough decisions, if possible. This is history in the making.

Berlin- The Green Party, in this case Hofreiter, always hold unrealistic views. On the one hand, they actively advocate military support for Ukraine with defence equipment, which is in Germany's original interest. On the other hand, the Green politician Hofreiter wants to enable hundreds of thousands of Ukrainians in Germany to refuse military service. Germany should issue them with replacement documents. In fact, this misses the legal reality. Or is Hofreiter now campaigning for German soldiers to operate German weapons in Ukraine, while Ukrainian men fit for military service go on holiday on German shores and receive citizen's money? The destructiveness of so-called Green politics is not only evident in energy and infrastructure policy...

Need some more audience help - looking for facts, dates and tail numbers for the HH-52A (B) to HH-65A transition... We are fairly certain of this: On 16 December 1987, the last HH-52B #1462 departed from Air Station Kodiak and ALPAT mission support responsibility shifted to the H-65 Dolphin (series) helicopter. The last ALPAT HH-52B aircraft commander was likely Terk Williams. We are NOT certain of - when did the first HH-65A arrive in Kodiak? What was the tail number? Who were the pilots? How did it arrive (on the back of a cutter)? Did it fly up the coast of Canada and Alaska from Port Angeles? What was the initial compliment of aircraft? How many? What tail numbers? Also, I think Gary Odom was the last HH-52A ALPAT EO - who was the first HH-65A ALPAT EO? I saw the name LT Phil Bray on a document? While we’re at it who was the first ALPAT HH-52A EO? Russia under Putin's rule does not attack Ukraine alone , it is destroying the basis of civilization, the provision of daily needs such as water and energy to all people who do not accept its imperial and neo-colonialist policy. It has done so in Chechnya and in Syria, but we did not understand the strategic continuity of this kind of brutal warfare. The next target will be Western Europe, but Western Europe is not prepared to stand up to the threat, with the exception of the neighbours most at risk, Poland and the Baltic States (former parts of the Russian empire), Finland, Sweden and Norway. Some members of the European Union have already fallen to Russian propaganda and even in neutral Switzerland there is a wave of appeasement policy that reminds us of Lord Chamberlain’s famous words when he returned from Munich after abandoning Czechoslovakia: "Peace is at hand".
