What does a #digitaltransformation look like? What role do #agile transition and #organizationaldevelopment play in it? Yesterday, Prof. Dr. Michael Fretschner invited me to share my experiences, best practices, and lessons with the students of Fachhochschule Nordakademie Elmshorn. As a promoter of product-driven company culture, I focused my talk on delivering products that matter to the customer and building an organisation where the employee experience matches the user experience. My key learnings at the end: 1. The path is not linear (as much as people love to say it was in retrospective 😅) 2. Every path is different. There are thousands of methods and tools, but you have to find your way and adapt them to your needs. The solutions are not straightforward, but isn't that the fun in building and developing organisations that matter and have an impact!? Thank you again for the invitation. It is lunchtime the following day, and on the job I have already used all of the following tips & tricks: - created a testable feature, initially developed in a sequence to-be-extracted-as-workflow - used a complex datatype as a output argument / "return value" - used both output value and an accompanying boolean in a workflow output - made robust and creative use of a Config dictionary additional key - had a LLM generating test data - had a LLM generate robust expressions for use in Assign - implemented a TestCase as helper to open the target application in such a state that I can comfortably continue development, including Modern Design Experience CheckAppState for use as boolean key in said complex output argument datatype :) It works! #Uipath #Development #softwareengineering

The latest Bitkom Cloud Study once again confirms the importance of cloud technology for the digitalization and thus ultimately the competitiveness of German companies. The demand for cloud services continues to rise unabated, driven in particular by the digitalization of internal processes as well as AI and cybersecurity. The demand for AI applications alone will double in the next 5 years. 40% of companies are already relying on cloud-only or cloud-first strategies. Due to some lunch talks in the last weeks about books, i thought it could be valuable for you, to share a bit about my book readings from this year. No. 1 "Gamification, Digitization and Industry 4.0" is an interesting book for anyone dealing with the creation of new SaaS products, the future of work and general tech. management. It offers from my opinion valuable insights into the opportunities that arise from the digital transformation and shows how gamification can be used to seize these opportunities. In all of the three dimensions: product development, future of work and management as such. Everything explained on real gamification examples.
