Being the first General Aviation company to complete a Pre-Application Contract with the EASA - European Union Aviation Safety Agency, we are ahead of the competition and on track to achieve our ultimate goal of delivering commercial flights by 2030 – completely emission-free! 🔔 𝗠𝗶𝗹𝗲𝘀𝘁𝗼𝗻𝗲 𝗔𝗹𝗲𝗿𝘁: VÆRIDION completes its first Pre-Application Contract with EASA - European Union Aviation Safety Agency 🔔 VÆRIDION is at the forefront of pioneering the pre-application services introduced by EASA - European Union Aviation Safety Agency in 2022 to facilitate the integration of cutting-edge technologies. As the first General Aviation company to complete this process, VÆRIDION has set a new benchmark. The collaboration with the authorities focused on the innovative multi-engine, single-propeller configuration of the Microliner. 🔋 Electric Aviation heading towards Norway! ⚡ The VÆRIDION Microliner is a battery-powered microliner that could soon contribute to the decarbonization of domestic flights in Norway, with almost zero emissions. Our key takeaways from the ERA Conference: 📢 One of the most pressing challenges discussed by members was sustainability and its associated costs. With the aviation industry under increasing pressure to reduce its environmental impact, the balance between profitability and sustainability remains a critical concern. Many ERA members acknowledged that finding ways to generate profits while continuing to meet sustainability targets has become a major challenge. 📢 With regional connectivity playing a crucial role in the European environmental, social, and economic landscape, the regional aviation sector is uniquely positioned to lead the transition to more sustainable aviation, particularly when it comes to 100% electric flights. The move toward electric flying offers an exciting future, but it also comes with its own set of operational and financial challenges. The conference discussions underscored the importance of collaborative innovation and government support. 📢 Zero-emission electric aircraft present an opportunity to enable sustainable flights while maintaining a profitable margin. The cutting-edge technology offers lower operating costs, reduced fuel dependency, and fewer emissions, positioning it as a game-changer for the industry. We are pleased to announce our partnership with Dassault Systèmes, a French multinational software corporation that develops software for 3D product design, simulation, manufacturing, and other 3D-related products. VÆRIDION uses the cloud-based solutions on Dassault Systèmes' 3DEXPERIENCE platform to accelerate the development of its 100% electric Microliner. 𝗦𝗠𝗘𝘀: We discussed the future of German aerospace at the 18th Day of the German Aerospace in the Munich Residence, together with the Bavarian State Minister Hubert Aiwanger and German Aerospace Coordinator Anna Christmann. Once again, we emphasized the critical role of small and medium sized enterprises in this industry, underlining the significance of government support for innovative ventures. Thank you BDLI Bundesverband der Deutschen Luft- und Raumfahrtindustrie e.V. and bavAIRia e.V. for the outstanding event organization and continuous support. 𝗘𝗰𝗼𝘀𝘆𝘀𝘁𝗲𝗺: We had the privilege to share our vision during Bayerische Landesbank Aviation Wiesn. Cirium also contributed with their positive analyses regarding the feasibility of regional electric air mobility. Thanks to Oliver Geldner and Richard Lawrynowicz for creating such an innovation-friendly atmosphere! Norton Rose Fulbright hosted an event on top trends to transform the aviation industry. There, we enjoyed the forward-looking discussions about the sustainable aviation projects and financing of zero-emission aircraft. Special thanks to Markus Radbruch and the team for making it a truly inspiring experience. 𝗖𝗼𝗹𝗹𝗮𝗯𝗼𝗿𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻: At the Aviation Symposium Austria, we addressed the need for collaboration between OEMs and industry stakeholders, as well as the transformation of decentralized airports into renewable energy hubs. 𝗥𝗲𝗴𝗶𝗼𝗻𝗮𝗹: We also attended the #RAALeadersConference, where we had the pleasure to share our view on emission-free regional flying with US-based airlines and administration officials, including David Pekoske, Administrator of the Transportation Security Administration (TSA). 𝗛𝗮𝗿𝗺𝗼𝗻𝗶𝘇𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻: At the General Aviation Manufacturers Association Lithium Battery Summit we discussed the importance of harmonization of certification standards among the leading certification authorities. Excited to announce our first Executive Advisor 🚀 Thorsten Luft, former Vice President Corporate Fuel Management at Lufthansa Group, is joining VÆRIDION as Executive Advisor effective immediately. Thorsten will catalyse the development of the ground infrastructure around our Microliner, laying the foundation for the rollout of commercial e-aviation in Europe and beyond.
