Automotive manufacturers around the world rely on Scansonic´s laser-based production tools to increase their productivity. The video shows various welding tasks in the production of an aluminum trunk lid. At first hang-on parts and individual components are welded by an #RLW-A remote laser welding optic. The upper and lower part of the lid are then joined by an #ALO welding head with integrated tactile seam tracking. At the end, the RLW-A head joins the inner and outer sheets together.
