The value of early playtesting and concept testing! 🙌 Also—how cool is this art? 🤩
Shipped our final batch of limited edition art prints our top playtesters yesterday. It's exciting to have found such fans and we couldn't have done it without PlaytestCloud. Special thanks to Christian Ress and his amazing team over there. I've been working PTC for nearly a decade since the Z2/King days and I can't tell you how valuable it is to see players struggling (or in the best cases, singing) while they play your game from inside their own homes. We decided playtest with users as early as possible (with just the tech prototype) and even though we knew that was going to be rough, we were still surprised and learned a lot! - Fascinating to see that players were ripping apart samosas to try to get the camera to recognize what was inside their food. - Not so fascinating to find out that some users forgot their passwords and weren't able to log back in 😓 - Truly, we wouldn't be able to find our "target audience" so quickly without PTC's ability to target players based on their demo and similar games... our initial surveys were spot on and we were able to recruit players within 1-2d. Just to hype up our friends, Playtest Cloud is launching their support for PC so it's a great time to give them a try.
