As part of the EU-funded project "Supporting the Reforms in Forestry in North Macedonia", implemented by a consortium led by Particip GmbH, the Public Enterprise “National Forests” has successfully obtained a PEFC certificate for sustainable forest management! This achievement marks the culmination of over 12 months of dedicated work and preparation, aligning sustainable forest management practices with the national standard PEFC MK 03:2020. 🔍 The final audit, conducted by accredited certification body MG Global from November 12-14, confirmed compliance across: ✅ 14 branches of PE National Forests ✅ 23 forest management units ✅ A total area of 106,000 hectares This success would not have been possible without the hard work and expertise of the PE National Forests team, who have demonstrated their commitment to sustainable forestry practices. We continue our work in Albania: To strengthen dialogue between local governments and their citizens, the EU For Good Government (EU4GG) project team met with pilot municipalities (Berat, Divjakë, Përmet, Pogradec, and Shkodër) to assess citizen participation in local decision-making and evaluate the transparency of public consultations, in collaboration with staff from the European Integration and Projects Unit of the Agency for Support to Local Government (ASLG). These visits included discussions with local government officials on topics related to strengthening democracy and promoting public participation at the local level. This activity runs parallel to another EU4GG project initiative aimed at enhancing inter-institutional dialogue through the Consultative Council of the Government of Albania. In this framework, local governments act as representatives of their citizens, ensuring that citizens’ feedback on legal acts, policies, strategies, and projects reaches central institutions. Strengthening inter-governmental dialogue through the Consultative Council will also enhance feedback mechanisms from central institutions to citizens, facilitated by local governments, on proposals and initiatives originating at the local level.

Project award: Final evaluation of the China – EU School of Law programme. The China-EU School of Law (CESL) Project was designed to enhance Chinese legal professionals' knowledge of the European legal system, its legislation, best practices, as well as international and comparative law, through the establishment of a China-Europe School of Law.

We are certified (again)! The concurrent management of a diverse project portfolio at Particip requires reliable, clear and efficient management structures. In order to ensure high efficiency of all relevant working processes and their continuous improvement, Particip has adopted a process oriented quality management system (QMS). The QMS sets a framework which enables Particip's teams to act in an independent and self-responsible manner satisfying customers' demands. After the first certification in 2015, the QMS was just re-certified according to DIN EN ISO 9001:2015 for the third time. In addition, our new Environmental Management System (EMS) certification in accordance with ISO 14001:2015 sends a strong signal of our commitment to environmental protection and sustainability. With this internationally recognized certification, we do not only optimize our environmental performance, but also strengthen the trust of our partners and customers in our sustainable practices.
