Last Monday our crew rolled up their sleeves to support the work of Kunst-Stoffe e.V. in Berlin! 🙌 Kunst-Stoffe e.V. is all about reusing materials and 𝐬𝐮𝐩𝐩𝐨𝐫𝐭𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐬𝐮𝐬𝐭𝐚𝐢𝐧𝐚𝐛𝐥𝐞 𝐩𝐫𝐚𝐜𝐭𝐢𝐜𝐞𝐬 𝐢𝐧 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐜𝐫𝐞𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐯𝐞 𝐬𝐞𝐜𝐭𝐨𝐫, and 𝘨𝘪𝘷𝘦𝘯 𝘵𝘩𝘦 𝘳𝘦𝘤𝘦𝘯𝘵 𝘤𝘶𝘵𝘴 𝘵𝘰 𝘉𝘦𝘳𝘭𝘪𝘯'𝘴 𝘤𝘶𝘭𝘵𝘶𝘳𝘢𝘭 𝘣𝘶𝘥𝘨𝘦𝘵, their work is all the more important. They collect residual and used materials, making them available for artistic and educational projects, thereby reducing waste and fostering environmental awareness. Yesterday we had the chance to take the stage at betahaus for this week's #betabreakfast. 🌟🥐   We took the opportunity to spotlight the issues around the circularity gap and sharing how we tackle them. In fact, at NEEW Ventures, we're not just talking about these issues; we’re building solutions. But as a venture builder that aims to fight waste, we can’t help but wonder: 𝙬𝙝𝙖𝙩 𝙞𝙨 𝙩𝙝𝙚 𝙧𝙚𝙖𝙡 𝙥𝙧𝙞𝙘𝙚 𝙤𝙛 𝙖𝙡𝙡 𝙩𝙝𝙖𝙩 𝙘𝙤𝙣𝙨𝙪𝙢𝙚𝙧𝙞𝙨𝙢? The truth is, every product — especially electronics, clothes and packaging — contributes to the growing problem of waste. The consequences are staggering, from piles of e-waste in pristine nature to textiles that never break down. Yesterday, we visited IMPACT FESTIVAL in Frankfurt. 🌍 Here are our main takeaways:   1️⃣ Innovations in sustainability are rapidly advancing across sectors, sparking new ways to protect our planet. It’s always empowering to connect with leaders equally driven by impactful change. 🌱   2️⃣ Prof. Dr. Michael Braungart made a call to evolve our thinking: let’s shift from “doing less harm” to actively “doing good.” For him, sustainability isn’t “guilt management”—it’s about generating positive impacts. 💡 3️⃣ A reality check: at events like these, it might often feel like we’re in an impact bubble. It's important to acknowledge that real change requires reaching beyond this circle to bring everyone into the conversation. Figuring out how to do this is a huge challenge, but a crucial one. 🌐   4️⃣ Last but not least, talking about change isn’t enough; it’s time to build solutions that align with a sustainable future.
