Last month, we had the opportunity to delve into the world of Speira – one of Europe’s leading aluminium rolling and recycling companies and one of our key exhibitors. The tour took us through the former electrolysis halls, the state-of-the-art recycling centre for used beverage cans and the casthouse at "Rheinwerk" and finally to Alunorf, the largest aluminium rolling mill in the world. ♻️💪 With a total of eleven sites in Germany and Norway, Speira recycles up to 650,000 tonnes of aluminium each year and produces around one million tonnes of rolled products. Celebrating the female trailblazers of the aluminium industry! ✨ We’re still buzzing from the success of the Women With Metal - the ALUMINIUM Awards, established to honour all these remarkable women pushing boundaries, driving innovation, and leading the aluminium sector with purpose. It’s never been more important to support these women and, through them, strengthen the entire industry. 🌍 We spoke with the winners about their messages for other women and men, their motivation, and their thoughts on what the world would be like without aluminium.
