📢 Erasmus+ Eldicare 2.0 was presented at the European Educational Symposium - Athens 2024! 🌍 On September 26th and 27th, 2024, the European Educational Symposium - Athens 2024 took place at Theoxenia Palace Hotel in Athens, focusing on 𝟐𝟏𝐬𝐭-𝐜𝐞𝐧𝐭𝐮𝐫𝐲 𝐬𝐤𝐢𝐥𝐥𝐬 𝐢𝐧 𝐥𝐨𝐧𝐠-𝐭𝐞𝐫𝐦 𝐜𝐚𝐫𝐞, bringing together representatives from all over Europe, Australia, the United States, and Africa, with more than 280 participants. Code of Conduct - Commitment to quality standards in international accreditation procedures The term “accreditation” literally means “giving faith”. That doesn't work without trust. It is therefore of central importance that all activities of accreditation agencies are given complete trust so that the results of the quality assurance of studies and teaching can be fully relied on. This is a relevant factor for taking up a study programme and academic success, especially for prospective students and students. Even if such trust has already been officially expressed to all agencies that are listed in EQAR - European Quality Assurance Register and are full members of ENQA: European Association for Quality Assurance in Higher Education, it is particularly important for external stakeholders abroad that the activities and results of these agencies are reliable at all times. That is why the two accreditation agencies ACQUIN e.V. and AQAS e.V. have made a voluntary commitment to certain minimum standards for international accreditation procedures (Cross-Border Quality Assurance). This is intended to ensure that not only European standards (ESG) are adhered to at all times, but also that procedures are used that are in line with the German understanding of quality and the quality requirements of the European Higher Education Area. #HigherEducation #QualityAssurance #EHEA #CrossBorderQualityAssurance

The EU Blueprint on the Future of Elderly Care Providers is complete and will soon be available for everyone to read! 🔍 We also discussed the finalization of guidelines for the skills anticipation mechanism, which will help monitor future skills needs in the elderly care sector. 📣 During the Dissemination Spotlight section, Eurocarers presented the upcoming campaign for European Carers Day, an important initiative to recognize and support caregivers across Europe. 🔜 Looking ahead, the consortium set the groundwork for WP4: Development of a Set of Up-to-Date Occupational Skills Profiles for Elderly Care Practitioners, and continued efforts in WP7 to operationalize the skills anticipation mechanism.
