#ifmspotted: #Sport with ifm in rehab #Rehab or rehabilitation is a targeted medical or therapeutic program to restore and improve physical or mental health after an illness, injury or operation. To make this therapy possible in the first place, a wide variety of sports equipment is needed to train 🏋️♂️ the muscles of the body. One of our colleagues was able to see this for himself when he used a #gym80 pulley machine during his rehabilitation. There he discovered an #O1D100 distance sensor from #ifm. This monitors the weight setting by measuring the distance to the current position of the weights. Each time the weight position is changed, the sensor records the new distance and updates the information, which is displayed to the athlete on a monitor 🖥️. This makes it easy to see whether you are doing the exercises too quickly or too slowly. The movement can be adjusted accordingly and the exercise can be completed correctly. In this way, the #sensor ensures safe execution in sports practice. ✅
