After working in community for many years I saw an opportunity to help build a community that means so much to so many people. I felt like my work could make a real difference in the lives of others. I think The Mighty represents a powerful and close-knit community that does a lot for each other.

I joined The Mighty shortly after I received my bachelor’s degree. Balancing everyday adult responsibilities with depression and PTSD proved to be the biggest challenge I faced at the time. The Mighty welcomed me with open arms to express myself when I felt voiceless, and helped me to connect with others as I built a safe space within myself. I'm grateful to the brave and Mighty warriors that wake up everyday and continue on despite the challenges they face. We are #MightyTogether.

After directing a musical film which focused on students dealing with anxiety and depression, I realized that promoting awareness of mental health through media was my passion. When I found The Mighty, I felt connected to the community and their mission to create an empowering space for mental health, chronic illness, disabilities and more. It is a dream come true to be part of a team where I can combine my passions for media, mental health and more.
