Risk and Safety RoleUnder the Direction of the Risk and Safety Director and Assistant County Manager, the Risk and Safety Coordinator will develop, implement, and manage the Countywide occupational safety and health program; conducts safety inspections and training; serves as consultant to departments on safety issues; and performs related duties as required.

Follows up with additional inspections to ensure improvements are successful and remain in place.
Monitors County's compliance with applicable laws and regulations; evaluates and determines impact of changing regulations.
TrainingCoordinates, plans, and implements the actions and recommendations of the County Safety Committee; provides technical assistance and advice to the Committee members.
Researches, designs, manages, and implements training for employees, dependent upon work environments and job duties.
Provide necessary training for County drivers and departments for accident prevention.
Tracks training completion and imports training data into personnel files.
AdministrationImplements, manages, and coordinates participation in the County’s Injury/Illness Prevention Program; creates or modifies safety policies and updates County safety resources as needed.
Provides oversight and monitoring of the County Workers’ Compensation program.
