Scope of Position: The Service Management Architect is responsible for maintaining the Service Management Architecture, a description of the essential components of a business, including their interrelationships.
The Service Management Architect works directly with the IT Global Operations team, the ITSM Process Owner and IT ServiceNow Engineering, to continuously improve the Service Management Platform and the related processes.
The Service Management Architect is responsible for the overall architecture, design, implementation, and integrity of the ServiceNow platform within the enterprise.
Responsibilities: Accountable for ServiceNow platform, roadmap & integration strategy.
Owner for Design/Optimization of Service Management Platform based on best practices.
Define & develop standards and practices for maintaining the ServiceNow architecture model.
Consulting Owner of Current Processes for Continuous Improvement and Governance.
Responsible for ServiceNow Platform design, including integration strategy (e.
g.
, utilizing infrastructure platform APIs via SOAP and/or REST APIs) and performance.
Defines, guides, and supports the execution of technical governance processes (e.
g.
, platform change review).
Work closely with the development teams, participate in design and architecture reviews.
Maintain technical specifications and documents, architecture diagrams, system documentation and manuals.
Responsible for overall data integrity of the entire CMDB and leveraging their value.
Supports remediation of configurations not aligned to ServiceNow best practices.
Assesses instance health (performance, manageability, usability, scalability, upgradability, and security) Leads in developing standards and practices for maintaining the health of the ServiceNow platform.
Education Requirements: Bachelor's degree in an IT related field required.
Required Skills: 7+ years of professional service management architecture experience.
3+ years with ServiceNow architectures in particular for ITSM, CMDB and preferably CSDM modules.
ServiceNow Technical Architect certification required; Master Architect certifications preferred.
Thorough understanding of the ServiceNow portfolio, platform architecture, and related technologies and dependencies.
Desired Skills: Experience with CMDB Health dashboard configuration, CMDB remediation, including duplicate and stale CI items.
ServiceNow Certified Application Developer (CAD) and Certified Implementation Specialist (CIS) certifications are preferred.
Proficient with event management, service mapping, platform security and integration best practices.
Understanding in the ServiceNow CMDB class hierarchy, including how it relates to Asset and Configuration Management.
Master’s degree in IT related field preferred.
ITIL 4 certification is an advantage.
Location & Travel Requirements: Remote Up to 10% travel This position does not support immigration sponsorship.
The range for this position is $112,420.
00 - $154,578.
00 assuming full time status.
Starting pay for the successful applicant is dependent on a variety of job-related factors, including but not limited to geographic location, market demands, experience, training, and education.
