The candidate will lead the design and execution of a comprehensive UX strategy for the FTSE Russell business, collaborating closely with engineering teams and overseeing the delivery of UI requirements from various work streams.
As a key contributor to strategic index and data platform design, the candidate will drive operational transformation and enhance requirements gathering through visual design, UX discovery, and journey mapping.
This role will require the candidate to successfully interact with wide stakeholder group, designing solutions, owning specifications used for development, and ensuring sound execution.
They will serve as a bridge between FTSE Russell customers, business stakeholders, other technology capabilities, and the Delivery organisation, accountable for the setting a strategy, vision, and the creation and delivery of a long-term roadmap for their capability area.
Responsibilities Develop and Implement UX Strategy: Define and execute a robust UX strategy aligned with FTSE Russell's business objectives.
Collaborate with engineering teams to ensure seamless integration of UX design with product development.
Lead UX Design Initiatives: Lead a team of UX designers and researchers to create intuitive and user-friendly interfaces.
Oversee the delivery of UI requirements from other work streams, ensuring alignment with UX principles.
Coordinate UX and UI delivery through global teams and 15+ engineering teams across the world Drive Operational Transformation: Spearhead operational transformation initiatives by implementing best-in-class design principles and methodologies.
Improve requirements gathering processes through visual design, UX discovery, and journey mapping techniques.
Contribute to Strategic Design: Act as a key contributor to strategic index and data platform design, leveraging your expertise in UX design.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure UX considerations are integrated into strategic initiatives.
Documentation and Design Systems: Create and maintain design documentation, including style guides, design patterns, and design systems.
Ensure consistency and scalability of design assets and components across products and platforms.
Usability Testing and Iteration: Plan and conduct usability testing sessions to evaluate the effectiveness and usability of designs.
