Senior Applications Analyst, SAP (Glatfelter Corporation/ Charlotte, North Carolina).
This position is responsible for analyzing needs and developing software solutions, applying principles and techniques of computer science, engineering, and mathematical analysis.
Duties & Responsibilities:
Responsible for process re-engineering, functional and logical system design, configuration and testing as it relates to the multiple processes you will directly support.
Configure, develop, and test SAP system and write functional designs for the technology and development team.
Conduct application troubleshooting and analysis; review application code, technical documentation, architecture, and development methods to maintain quality and assure adherence to industry standards.
Collaborate across the organization (IT and lines of business) to ensure appropriate integration of systems and software processes.
Prepare as-is and to-be processed documentation as required for design and process reviews.
Translate business requirements to functional and technical specifications for interfaces, custom transactions, system software modifications, enhancements etc.
Provide design specifications for analytics supporting the business processes in area(s) of responsibility.
Act as IT lead on small to medium size projects in area(s) of expertise.
Work directly with business analysts and process owners to define opportunities for software process optimization.
Provide oversight and mentor other SAP IT Analysts.
Provide day-to-day support for SAP and related processes.
Solve complex technical problems.
Influence peers, business partners, and project stakeholders on solution design.
Evaluate new SAP releases and alternate software.
Review business and technical literature and interact with consultants and user groups.
Applicants must be willing to travel domestically and internationally up to 10% of the work schedule.
Position allows for a hybrid schedule working 1-2 days per week in Charlotte, NC office and 3-4 days per week from home.
Education, Experience & Skills Required:
At a minimum, a U.
S.
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Electronic Engineering, or a related technical field, or the foreign degree equivalent.
5 years’ progressively responsible, post-baccalaureate experience in the job offered or a related occupation.
Experience with global business process with a primary focus on the Procure to Pay area, SAP PTP functionality and PTP business processes, and SAP integration between PTP, OTC, and FICO.
In-depth understanding of integrated and ancillary systems.
Experience applying the functional and technical aspects of the analysis and design process for SAP applications.
