Summary / Role Purpose We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced IT Manager to lead our Platform Engineering team.
In this critical role, you will be responsible for managing the development and delivery of solutions using cloud integration, data warehouse and AI/ML platforms.
you will be responsible for leading a team of talented Engineers, ensuring the smooth operation, scalability, and security of our technology platforms and you will work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure the seamless integration of systems and services, enabling our company to deliver innovative solutions to our clients.
This position combines technical expertise with strong leadership and project management skills.
Key Duties and Responsibilities Team Leadership: Manage a team of Platform Engineers, providing guidance, mentorship, and fostering a collaborative work environment conducive to professional development and growth.
Project Management: Lead and manage Engineering projects, ensuring alignment with organizational goals and strategic objectives.
SDLC Management: Maintain and manage a backlog of work items using Azure DevOps in accordance with our SDLC processes.
Facilitate feature planning, work item decomposition, capacity planning and dependency tracking.
Cross-Functional Collaboration: Foster collaboration between technical and non-technical teams, ensuring a shared understanding of integration goals and requirements.
Strategic Alignment: Partner with business and technology teams to coordinate implementation of the data strategy and data architecture and maximize the value of information across the organization.
Requirements Gathering: Work closely with stakeholders from various departments to gather and understand project requirements, translating them into actionable plans for the Platform Engineering team.
Quality Control: Oversee the end-to-end delivery of Platform Engineering solutions, ensuring they meet quality standards and are delivered on time and within scope.
Risk Management: Proactively identify and mitigate risks that may impact the Platform Engineering services or program delivery timelines.
Communication and Reporting: Provide regular updates to stakeholders on program status, key milestones, and potential risks.
Documentation: Create and maintain comprehensive documentation related to Platform Engineering processes and program activities.
Performance Optimization: Continuously assess and optimize engineering solutions to enhance efficiency and performance.
Continuous Improvement: Collaborate with the technical team to identify and implement process improvements to maximize operational efficiency.
Minimum Education/Certification Requirements and Experience Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field Proven experience (5+ years) in Platform Engineering and Systems Integration, with 3+ years in a leadership or managerial role.
Proficiency in Integration, Data Storage, and PaaS Engineering tools and technologies Strong understanding of data modeling, data warehousing, and data integration concepts.
Excellent leadership and team management skills.
Problem-solving mindset with the ability to troubleshoot complex data issues.
Strong communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively with diverse teams.
Experience working with SnapLogic, Fivetran, Snowflake and/or Azure AI components is preferred.
