About the Talent Development Team Varo’s Talent Development team is a group of passionate, hardworking, creative individuals who work together to empower Varovians with the skills and resources they need to be their best, grow in their career and drive Varo’s mission forward.
The Learning & Development Specialist is a crucial part of our team and reports to the Manager of Learning and Instructional Design.
This role provides a great opportunity to develop expertise in two Learning & Development skill areas, through supporting both the administration of our Learning Management System (LMS), Cornerstone, and various instructional design projects.
What you’ll do: Own the assignment process for our quarterly company-wide training cycle, new hire and role-specific training, to ensure we maintain training compliance as a company Maintain detailed documentation of LMS procedures and create appropriate organization systems to ensure all Trainees are assigned and complete training as required As needed provide notifications for employees to complete training in a timely manner Provide support and appropriate education for employees and managers to navigate our new LMS Assist with the creation of LMS reporting to enable business partners to self-serve reporting needs Analyze LMS training content and user engagement metrics to drive insights that help improve our training offerings and resources Support instructional design projects with multiple deliverables Develop instructional strategies and courses to support individual business units or company-wide products and skill focuses Create dynamic instructional and training material using current technologies that prioritize immersive learning experiences (i.
e.
role plays, practice, simulations) to drive desired behavior and performance outcomes Collaborate with subject matter experts and other stakeholders to plan and design courses that meet business requirements As needed, train internal team members on the effective use of virtual learning environments and conduct presentations for various groups You’ll bring the following required skills and experiences: 1 year experience administering an LMS system, preferably Cornerstone 1-2 years of experience in instructional design, familiarity with adult learning theories and instructional design models i.

ADDIE Experience with content authoring tools like Articulate and creation of online learning modules Content design experience (video editing, graphic design) and familiarity with tools like Adobe Creative Cloud, etc.
