Corvid Technologies is seeking qualified candidates to join the Virtual Reality and Immersive Visualization Group.
This group is responsible for developing and maintaining Vision, Corvid’s Virtual Reality visualization tool for modeling and simulation results, producing rendered videos to showcase Corvid’s and client’s products and analyses, developing immersive training content in Virtual and Mixed Reality, and researching new uses for extended reality to improve Corvid’s work products.
Candidates should have a passion for virtual and augmented reality technology, a creative mind adept at problem-solving, experience with the Unreal Engine 4/5 and 3D modeling, and a strong programming foundation, including C++ and Python.
This is a full-time position in Corvid’s Mooresville, NC office.
Requirements:
Educational or professional experience with:
VR/AR/XR application development
Unreal Engine 4/5 or Unity
C++
Python
3D modeling programs, such as Blender, 3DSMax, Maya, or similar
Git or similar version control software
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or Engineering
Ability to acquire a U.
S.
Security Clearance
Excellent written and oral communication skills
Preferred Skills:
Experience rigging models and creating animations
Basic video editing and production
Knowledge of 3D file formats
Experience developing shaders
Familiarity with structural/mechanical engineering concepts
Daily Responsibilities:
Developing Vision, Corvid’s Virtual Reality visualization tool for modeling and simulation
results
Developing 2D or VR visualization and data processing tools in Unreal Engine or Qt
Collecting user feedback and addressing bug reports
Researching the latest developments in extended reality technology
Working with Corvid’s structural and aerodynamic analysts to create visualizations to
showcase and communicate analysis results
Developing animations to showcase new products and product concepts
