Squids is a non-profit association serving the scientific community in quantum technology. We organise conferences, workshops and summer schools on fields ranging from quantum information theory, quantum thermodynamics, foundations of physics, quantum computation and simulation. We also offer a range of expert services to support quantum industry and academia, such as consulting to organizing, recruiting, editing and outreach.

  • We are excited to announce that the 19th Conference on the Theory of Quantum Computation, Communication, and Cryptography (TQC 2024), a leading annual international conference for students and researchers in the theoretical aspects of quantum information science, will be hosted by OIST in Okinawa, Japan, in September 2024. TQC's scientific objective is to bring together the theoretical quantum information science community to present and discuss the latest advances in the field. https://lnkd.in/d_E_pJGR Event Details: - Conference: 9-13 September, 2024 - Submission deadline: 22 February AoE - Location: OIST Conference Center, Okinawa, Japan - Travel & visa information on the website - Proceedings track: submit the full manuscript as a pdf - Without Proceedings track: 3-page extended abstract + technical manuscript. Areas of interest for TQC include, but are not restricted to: - quantum algorithms; - models of quantum computation; - quantum complexity theory; - simulation of quantum systems; - quantum cryptography; - quantum communication; - quantum information theory; - quantum estimation and measurement; - quantum error correction and fault-tolerant quantum computing; - intersection of quantum information and condensed-matter theory; - intersection of quantum information and machine learning.
