🌟🎬 Highlights of IPDET On-Site 2024! Join us for a five-minute journey through the highlights of IPDET On-Site 2024. Over two intensive weeks, 165 participants from 71 countries came together with 22 expert instructors to learn, connect, and collaborate. Through hands-on sessions and in-depth discussions, attendees explored new evaluation approaches and strategies to drive evidence-based change in their own communities. Hear from participants as they reflect on key insights and practical takeaways, celebrating a shared passion for evaluation. After seven years, the successful collaboration between the Center for Continuing Education (ZUW) at the University of Bern, Switzerland, the Center for Evaluation (CEval) in Saarbrücken, Germany, and the Independent Evaluation Group of the World Bank (IEG) on IPDET has come to an end. In 2025, the University of Bern will become the sole implementer of IPDET, marking the start of a new strategy under the framework of the GEI. Deep appreciation goes to the whole CEval team for the successful cooperation, their enthusiasm and commitment, and thereby, valuable contributions to the professionalization of evaluation. Last week, in Jeddah I completed the training on “Fundamentals of Evaluation” provided by the International Program for Development Evaluation Training- IPDET. Not only I learned a great deal about how to develop and implement an evaluation framework in the context of MDB but also gained new friends from 12 different countries during the interactive sessions and the entire program. It was also a great honor to receive my certificate from the Vice President of the Islamic Development Bank, HE Mr. Anasse Aissami. This year UEA members participated in IPDET not only as trainees but also as trainers Olha Krasovska and Luba Margolina took part in professional workshops and Dmytro Kondratenko co-delivered the workshop ‘Evaluating Humanitarian Action: Steps, Challenges, and Real-time Learning’: https://lnkd.in/eE-ejkVC Ukrainian Evaluation Association also hosted an Informal exchange ‘Open Forum: Evaluating Humanitarian Action’ where all interested participants could learn about humanitarian evaluations and activities of Ukrainian Evaluation Association. The International Program for Development Evaluation Training (IPDET) is an executive training program that aims to provide decision-makers, managers and practitioners with the tools and skills to commission, manage and implement policy, program or project evaluations at local, national, regional, and global levels as well as to use those evaluations for decision-making. IPDET sets a great focus on practice and provides a diversified approach for audiences from different organizations and sectors who play different roles in the evaluation process.
