BGPartner advises EQT, Forbion and Jeito on extension of Series B financing of Noema Pharma Ltd to $147 mio Noema Pharma Ltd, a Swiss clinical-stage biotech company advancing treatments for debilitating central nervous system (CNS) disorders, has successfully closed a Series B extension, raising an additional $27 million. This brings the total funding in this round to an impressive $147 million. This extension was made possible through additional investment from EQT Group (EQT Life Sciences) and continued backing support from Forbion, JEITO Capital and other leading investors. The financing will support Noema Pharma Ltd to advance four active Phase 2 trials targeting severe pain in trigeminal neuralgia and seizures in tuberous sclerosis complex, Tourette syndrome and childhood-onset fluency disorder. ⚖️ Zukunftstag bei BGPartner | Attorneys-at-law – Ein Blick hinter die Kulissen der Anwaltswelt! 👩⚖️👨⚖️ Letzte Woche hatten wir ganz besondere Gäste: Lea, Leonie und Elin haben uns im Rahmen des nationalen Zukunftstags besucht und die Arbeit in einer Anwaltskanzlei kennengelernt. – Ein Tag mit vielen spannenden Fragen, ehrlichen Meinungen und überraschenden Erkenntnissen. 🎤 Was macht ein Anwalt oder eine Anwältin den ganzen Tag? 💬 „Die sind viel vor Gericht!“ – Stimmt, aber wir konnten den dreien zeigen, dass Verhandeln, Strategie und einvernehmliche Lösungen mindestens genauso wichtig sind. 🎤 Warum gibt es Anwälte überhaupt? 💬 „Weil die vor Gericht gehen müssen.“ – Klar, aber auch, um Lösungen zu finden, bevor es so weit kommt. Das fanden alle drei „mega spannend“. 🎤 Wie habt ihr euch eine Kanzlei vorgestellt? 💬 „Eigentlich eher in einem Hochhaus mit grossen Fensterfronten.“ Stattdessen beeindruckte unser Büro mit seiner Lage nahe der Stadt und einem gut gefüllten Schrank voller Bücher (danke, Lea 😊). 🚀 Das Highlight des Programms? Der Besuch einer Gerichtsverhandlung ⚖️ (Strafrecht, damit es für die drei fassbarer ist.) Lea, Leonie und Elin waren überrascht, wie schnell ein Fall abgeschlossen sein kann, wenn der Beschuldigte alles zugibt. Und der kleine Gerichtssaal? „Man hätte den Beschuldigten fast berühren können!“ Ein eindrückliches Erlebnis, bei dem auch kleine Details wie das nervöse Fusswippen des Verteidigers für Gesprächsstoff sorgten. Neben dem Gericht sorgten die Übungen im OR AT an der Uni und Gespräche mit unserer Anwältin Özlem Karagöz für Begeisterung. Übrigens: Die feinen Pizzas zum Mittagessen kamen übrigens auch sehr gut an. 🍕😄 Wir danken unseren Mitarbeitenden für die Durchführung und Organisation des ganzen Tages.
