Interesting article in today's People Management magazine providing debate around zero hours and exploitative work arrangements. Once contract management in terms of engagement becomes better defined and the balance of power between employer and employee becomes more equitable (where it isn't already of course, lets not forget our industry does play nice as well!) it seems logical that a future area of focus will likely impact every commercial aspect of these supply agreements. The new proposals appear to be a jumping off point for all things ethical, which for me, shouldn't stop with the treatment of a worker being improved but should also see improvement in each element of worker pay, charge and cost. If as a heavy user of contingent labour I couldn't evidence (independently) fiscal control, safeguarding, compliance and how my supply chain operates transparently and ethically I would be more concerned today than this time last week... #theclearvue #transparent #ethical #recruitmentreform
