ICF's New ACC Exam is Coming: How I Can Help You Succeed! The International Coaching Federation (ICF) is rolling out a new Associate Certified Coach (ACC) exam starting November 18, 2024. This 90-minute exam will consist of 60 multiple-choice questions focused on ICF Core Competencies, Code of Ethics, and the Definition of Coaching. Key Dates to Know: * November 18, 2024: New ACC exam becomes available (you can choose between the old and new versions). * March 14, 2025: The new exam becomes mandatory. There is a growing trend that will be very helpful to organizations struggling with the disruptive rate of change called psychological flexibility. Clarissa W. Ong, ... David A.F. Haaga, in Journal of Contextual Behavioral Science, 2023. Psychological flexibility is the primary target and hypothesized process of change in Acceptance Commitment Therapy, ACT, whose theory posits that clients experience improvement in symptoms and well-being through increasing psychological flexibility. The six subprocesses of psychological flexibility are: (1) acceptance or being willing to experience inner experiences fully and unconditionally without trying to change or control them, (2) defusion or disentangling behaviors from verbal traps and rules such that behavior occurs independently of thoughts and feelings, (3) attentional flexibility or exercising control over the focus of attention, (4) self-as-context or taking the perspective of the space in which inner experiences show up and recognizing the self as bigger than these experiences, (5) values or identifying life domains and ways of being that matter, and (6) committed action or engaging in behaviors consistent with stated values.
