Fantastic research that everyone interested in technical SEO should read! https://lnkd.in/eYxAAFRN One of the experiments I found most interesting was related to Google treating URLs with query string parameters differently in the rendering process (the screenshot here shows the benchmarks). This just illustrates the importance of shifting as much tracking as possible to the data layer to have clean URLs on the frontend. Site commands for image searches are down... which got me thinking... Search operators are a valuable (but often underutilized) tool that all SEOs should know about. It's a quick n' dirty way to narrow your search. Pro tip: Combine site: with before:[date] and/or after:[date] to find how much new content your competitors have published before or after a certain date.

I've increased website traffic by 3X within 3 months by implementing the Semantic SEO concepts I learned from Koray's Topical Authority Course and his case studies on the EAV Model, Initial Ranking, and Re-Ranking Processes. Content pruning can be one of the most helpful tactics for SEO when done right

Some of you may have seen this but for those that missed it - Google's secret formula for how it ranks sites was leaked... It is revealing and holds surprises even die-hard #SEO experts. Some of it confirms what we all knew but some of the directly contradicts what Google has asserted for years. The URL below is the URL of a summary of the information from Michael King of iPullRank. Thank you Michael for your thorough discussion of all the information. (He promises more to come.) Let's start with the uber point. Google has long denied that they do domain authority ranking. Untrue. They track siteAuthority - this is google's name for domain authority. This contradicts previous assertions by Google representatives who have repeatedly stated that they don't use "domain authority." Some notable other points that stuck out for me. (The article is long). 1) Google will give extra credit for "trustworthiness" sites which will give preference for larger sites. This is not good news for newer sites. 2) There is a "sandbox" for new websites or sites that lack of trust signals. This also puts smaller or newer sites at a disadvantage. Worth noting, Google for YEARS have denied the existence of a sandbox. 3) Role of Chrome touches a few important areas. a) Despite denials from Google, user interaction data from Chrome is being used in Google's ranking systems. b) Sites that optimize for Chrome will be given preference in site rankings because Google thinks that Chrome can deliver a better user experience. The baked in assumption is presumptive. (No one is surprised by that.) 4) Google will use click signals in its ranking system so it collects and analyses different types of click data, including bad clicks, good clicks, last longest clicks, unsquashed clicks, and unsquashed last longest clicks. 5) Titlematch Score reflects how close the page title and URL match. Google will still actively use this in overall ranking. This means if your site has a lot of redirect issues that may be the result of a site move, Google may ding your site score.
