How can I tell if the commercial is tokenizing or not?" A: "Although there are a lot more layers and nuance to it, a simple way to test if your commercial script is tokenizing underrepresented communities or not is as follows; replace all the underrepresented individuals in your script with people from the dominant culture. If you do that and your script still "makes sense" ie. the story doesn't change, then likely you're tokenizing these individuals. Why? Well, people with different lived experience should experience your script's story in a different way. If they don't, likely, the inclusion of these individuals is very surface-level, and doesn't have the deep cultural nuance required to be authentically inclusive. Remember, diversity =/= inclusion" What are your thoughts? Programmatic must integrate ATTENTION METRICS to improve their accuracy. In this study, there is also a mention that English-language sites were viewed more than ads on the French Canadian sites (35% and 25%, respectively). To explain this result, this text expose the fact that there is less available ad inventory than English sites. But our data (Zoolook intelligence) indicate an other reason : The segment «The Princesses» is overrepresented in Quebec province. This segment is the only one INATTENTIVE TO ADVERTISING. For example, we find an inattention index of 137 for those shopping while listening radio on their smartphone, a behavior strongly associate with this segment. The Princesses is mainly composed of young women and fashion victims. In fact, the Quebec province have the lowest % of Total attention (Active + Passive) compare to the others provinces. We find a TOTAL ATTENTION score of 81,3% in Quebec province compared to an overall 83,3% in Canada. The Alberta province is the nearest of Quebec with 82,2%. But who's the winner ? Well, this is the only official bilingual province in Canada : New-Brunswick (87,9%). There is 41% of French Canadian in this province. So, language and inventory don't explain everythings. THE ROAD TO CANNES 2025: A Spotlight Series of notable Cannes winners It has to be Heinz - Rethink Toronto x Kraft Heinz Why settle for one campaign when you can do as many as it takes? The creative folks at Rethink decided to do exactly that when they realized that Heinz is losing their iconic status… and they went all out for five years to make the world say, “It has to be Heinz” First, they released to the world the perfect amount of tilt required to get ketchup out of a bottle (it’s 31 degrees by the way). AND… Then they created a 570 piece puzzle of just pure Heinz red, cause, why not? AND… Then they did a social experiment and asked people to draw ketchup and all of them proceeded to draw a bottle of Heinz. Or at least one resembling it. AND… They asked AI to generate an image of Ketchup in different places and all the bottles were Heinz. AND… They began a petition to put the same number of hot dogs and buns in packages. AND… Heinz shared the spotlight with Travis Kelce and Taylor Swift when a photo went viral of Taylor Swift having “chicken with ketchup seemingly ranch”. They released a product named “Seemingly Ranch” in under 24 hours which was a combination of ketchup and ranch. And lastly, our favourite of all, an OOH campaign in which Heinz exposed restaurants for filling their Heinz bottles with generic ketchup. This is something we in India know is happening for sure. The Insights? 🏅 12.5 Billion Globally Earned Impressions 🏅 12% Growth in Heinz Daily Sales 🏅 +3.2 Share Pts. Our massive takeaway from this was the coherence and consistence in campaign messaging and the maximization across all touchpoints. A salute to the creative team of Rethink and the brand team of Heinz.
