Leadership team members, especially the Visionary and Integrator, should never say anything negative about one another. You should never complain to anyone in the organization about your Visionary or Integrator counterpart. Maintaining mutual respect is critical even when tensions inevitably rise. Visionaries and Integrators operate completely differently. They have different personalities, and those differences can frustrate each other. Despite all those natural urges to express disrespect for your counterpart, fight those urges! At all times, keep the greater good of the organization and its employees in mind. Check your egos at the door. By maintaining mutual respect, you make running the business easier and more constructive for everyone.

Developers then use authoring tools to transform these storyboards into published files. However, the need for IDs to directly input their content into authoring tools like Articulate is growing. Here’s why this shift is becoming increasingly important. Last week I had a conversation with a potential client who asked me if we at BCB Learning Inc. could help them design and then facilitate an in-person workshop in a certain topic for their organization. It's a topic we don't have expertise in and never teach. My answer was that we can certainly help them design the learning experience, as we do this all the time with many different clients on many different topics, but that we'd prefer not to facilitate a workshop in something we don't have expertise in. If you ever find yourself in this situation at your organization, here are some options for how you can work with us: 💡 Buy my book, Design to Engage: How to Create and Facilitate a Great Learning Experience For Any Group. (Learn more at https://lnkd.in/g8p-7UY.) 💡Ask us to work with your internal staff or volunteers to help them design the experience and then learn how to facilitate it. We can do 1:1 preparatory meetings, observe and give feedback on practice facilitation sessions, help design effective workshop lesson plans that give them a solid roadmap to follow, and more. 💡Ask us to partner with another external consultant you engage to design and facilitate an effective workshop together with them. If that person is knowledgeable about both the topic and your organization but not with how to facilitate great learning experiences, we're happy to support them to gain these skills in the same way we've outlined above with internal staff/volunteers. We love facilitating learning experiences related to designing and facilitating learning and meetings. (I know, so meta!) But if you have another topic you need help facilitating, our preference is to work behind the scenes to help you increase your own internal capacity to lead the sessions, or support external professionals to do the same. Oh, and let's not confuse this with our work in group process facilitation. We are happy to have conversations with any non-profit organization or association about facilitating your strategic meetings to drive your work forward. Just ask!
