Shared Services Canada will be performing an IT maintenance activity on Sunday, April 21, 2024. It will start at 6:45 a.m. and may cause an outage up to 10:45 a.m., Eastern time. This maintenance will cause an outage for CFP telephone services and the following CFP Web services: - Individual Web Services - Business Web Services. CSAAA met with RCMP early this week to further discuss our ongoing concerns about how these outages severely impact businesses. RCMP has informed us that these full Shared Services Canada outages (where there is no access to phone lines as well as online services) are out of their control, as law enforcement requires access to this system as well, and having these outages too late or early in the night when the most criminal activity is occurring is not possible. We have been informed that going forward, these outages should only happen quarterly throughout the year and that better communication surrounding these outages will be offered to businesses. We will continue to closely monitor BWS outages and work with RCMP to minimize the impact this has to our business members. Please continue to reach out when you experience issues with the business web services or call centre.
