Sometimes timing is everything and our launch of the first public Dogecoin proxy in Canada as CSE:SPIR and the US as OTC:SPLCF couldn't have been any better. The strategy is 2 fold: 1) Create and develop more utility for the Dogecoin ecosystem thus accelerating adoption and the institutionalization for global markets 2) Introduce an on-chain tokenized asset management platform that can take in crypto or fiat in exchange for LP exposure to traditional asset management funds and annual yield or distribution. As an example: Dogecoin can now allocate to real estate on-chain making 8-12% / yr and receive distributions in any currency or coin they deem. This is a business that is merging traditional asset management with digital asset management which is one of the largest trends underway globally, and we have a 16-24 month regulatory moat before we see any public listed full prospectus cleared competition. Bitcoin reaches its peak price in every cycle ~500 days post-halving like clockwork, which puts us in Sept 2026. I suspect the rest of the ecosystem will follow as always, especially Dogecoin.

I had the pleasure of moderating the panel on stablecoins yesterday during the Canadian Blockchain Consortium Montreal Summit. "Crypto is here to stay" "The ginie is not going back to the bottle" you name it! phrases i keep hearing about crypto from conversations around legislative bodies. this is definitely a good sign 🤞 Nowadays it is not weather or not crypto is legitimate or not, but it is about how exactly goverments are goong to walk towards embracing the crypro industry by giving it more attention and changing regulations around it. for us, precisely, as a web3 startup talking to Canadian business incubators, it sometimes has been challenging to introduce our startup, as we werent sure the other party had a good view on crypro as a permanent industry. sometimes, in websites we apply, in the dropdown for "choose your industry" doesn't involve crypro as a seperate industry, so often we can check SaSS or Fintech. We'd like to see more acceptance around crypto specifically in the Canadian start up community.

Take Two's CEO Strauss Zelnick makes it painfully clear that Take Two is working with Zynga to bring GTA Online to mobile. Not GTA6 exactly but GTAOnline multiplayer. --- VideoGameChronicle: "Take-Two still wants to bring its biggest IP to mobile “WE HAVE TO TRY AND WE WILL TRY,” SAYS CEO STRAUSS ZELNICK" Two years since it completed its takeover of Zynga, Take-Two is still trying to figure out a way to bring its biggest franchises to mobile. “Perhaps most importantly we have the ability together, from both a development and a publishing point of view, to optimise the creation of new titles based on Take-Two’s core intellectual property,” Take-Two CEO Strauss Zelnick said when the deal was announced. “We believe we have the best collection of console and PC intellectual property in the interactive entertainment business and it’s basically nearly entirely un-exploited from mobile and free-to-play around the world.” At a TD Cowen conference this week, Zelnick was asked whether Take-Two had made any progress towards fulfilling this ambition, or even whether the goal was still part of the company’s multi-year pipeline plan. “You’re kind to ask it that way,” he said. “What you’re really saying is, ‘you haven’t done that, what happened?’ And the answer is, and I said it at the time, I said, ‘listen, that is one opportunity to create revenue synergies, but arguably it’s not the best one because even mobile titles based on traditional core established IP can fail, and the biggest titles in mobile are of course native.’ “Now, what people are really saying, they didn’t say it this way, is, ‘why don’t you just do what Call of Duty Mobile did?’ But the answer is, Call of Duty is a superset, never mind a subset, a superset of one. Basically everything else has paled by comparison in our space.” Call of Duty Mobile was released in November 2019 and had been downloaded over 650 million times as May 2022, according to Activision Blizzard. “That said, I would love to be able to announce a successful mobile title based on legacy Take-Two IP, and I’m pretty sure we’ll be able to do it, but you’re right that it has been backburnered a bit in service of a bunch of other opportunities. Mobile accounted for over half of Take-Two’s full-year revenue and net bookings during the 12 months ended in March 2024. But Zelnick reiterated at this week’s TD Cowen conference that he still wants to make a hit mobile game based on one of the company’s own properties. “Would I like to do exactly what you said? Absolutely. Have we done it yet? We have not done it yet. Is it in our multi-year pipeline? It is in our pipeline, but that doesn’t mean it will succeed, it could fail, in which case it would be irrelevant. No, worse than irrelevant, it would actually cost us money because failures cost us money.” “But we have to try and we will try,” he added. Great to see more open source models being created, particularly from Europe, as I believe the training data sets and intents of the model creators are going to have massive impact on society long term. For now, having tried the quick demo you access from Lior’s post, the model hallucinate at extremely high rates about what it hears. However that might be a quick fix - let’s wait for the code release and more extensive testing :)

Little Canadian smallcap chugging away at $1m Trudeaus per day now The world's first public proxy to Elon Musk's favorite and heavily owned coin, #dogecoin Why is a public proxy viable? 99% of people are not going to open a crypto wallet (19 keywords, cold storage drives, safety deposit boxes, hacking losses) the conditioned barrier to entry is too high. So a public equity buys it as a high % of proceeds raised and holds it for the upside. 90% of intuitions still can't buy Dogecoin. 100% of Institutions CAN buy a public equity that buys Dogecoin - problem solved. Retail can buy the public proxy to put in their RRSP, TFSA or 401-k I'm going to unpack the full Dogcoin proxy pitch here next week. Nvidia the most valuable company in the world. A market cap of 3.11 Trillion USD. But what about the PE ratio? Price to earnings, ie revenue... NVDA is a revenue machine, and they currently have a monopoly. Looking at the PE ratio you can get a much better picture of the company over time, how overpriced/underpriced it is. See the bottom chart, blue bar. - The current PE ratio is around 73x - The 10 year PE ratio was lower at around 49x - The 5 year PE high was around 146x in Q2 2023 The 5 year PE high happened right before the companies stock priced doubled in a quarter, ie CHATGPT. The market priced in some expected value from future datacenter GPU sales. This paid off. The stock price was around $28 USD in April 2023, with the 146x PE. The stock price now is around $120 USD with the 73x PE. Which is close to the 5 year PE average. NVDA is a revenue machine, AMD is not even in the race. Future predictions are impossible. What is always true is reversion to the mean. Questions I think about: - So are the datacenter sales going to slow down? - What is market saturation for GPUs? - Will AI inference and training get more efficient, needing less GPUs? - By what degree is AI overhyped, dictating future datacenter demand growth. - How will the consumer market increase? - Will governments GPUs demand change? Nationalistic sentiments around AI. - What IP moats has NVDA created? GPUs are not something you need to buy every year. The other factor is electricity use running a 48gb consumer GPU is expensive this naturally limits the consumer demand to 'professional' use. Not quite a Benjamin Graham style 'value investor', the price is directly proportional to AI hype. Short or Long.

The Bank of Montreal (one of Canada's largest banks, with nearly $1tn in assets) recently disclosed that it is holding 4 of the spot Bitcoin ETFs launched in the US in January - link in the comments. Nothing particularly remarkable about that - ongoing 13F filings with the SEC highlight a growing wave of institutional crypto adoption. (The "smart money" is finally wising-up). What's interesting is the large number of BOM's customers that are pretty outraged by the double-standards exhibited by the bank - these customers have previously been de-banked by BOM for attempting to send their own money to crypto exchanges! It will be interesting to see what happens in the UK in H2 2024 after our own spot Bitcoin and Ether ETPs launch on the London Stock Exchange. Pretty much all of the major UK retail banks limit transfers to crypto exchanges and have closed customer accounts for the same reasons as BOM (and still do). (For your protection, of course! 😉 ) We'll be watching Natwest, LBG, HSBC, Barclays etc. 👀
