Bitcoin, what gives? While it consumes 6.5% of our total electrical output, what does it contribute to our GDP? Besides Tesla and Ransom, what can you buy with Bitcoins? Whom wants to avoid authorities while moving large sums of money? Time to ban mining in Canada? #bitcoin https://lnkd.in/eSMM94Fs

Most of the energy used to mine bitcoin is wasted energy and is over 50% renewable. Asking what Bitcoin contributes to our GDP is like asking what the central bank contributes. It is a question that requires a deep understanding of the nature of money. You can buy every good or service you want with Bitcoin. Look into it more if you doubt this. Lastly, Bitcoin mining requires a multiplication of two numbers to find how much energy it consumes. Have you thought deeply about how much energy our existing government monetary and banking systems consume? What about each banking office tower? What about each mint? What about each armoured truck and so on? What if Bitcoin replaces this legacy system? #LearnBitcoin
