Take a moment to: ✨ Identify the Roles of Your Characters✨ Sometimes in our stories, our characters evolve. They self-reflect, go on a quest, slay dragons, and get the girl (or the guy). Othertimes, our characters are spiralling. They make bad decisions, which leads them to another one, and this character is devolving. And finally, some characters in our books stay the same from start to finish. Often the function of this character is to provide a foil, or contrast to someone else’s development in the story. This character is static. Quick Tip: Take 10 minutes to record the arc of each of your characters' journeys. What is still needed to make their arc feel complete by the end of your story? Did you do this?
