We're proud to support your amazing work Fraser Health Authority, congratulations on the ongoing success!
At Fraser Health, we’re setting new standards in leveraging technology to enhance patient care and ensure sustainable operations amid growing demand. Here are some of our latest innovations: The Digital Twin is a virtual model of Fraser Health that uses a powerful algorithm to simulate and optimize our system for better health outcomes for patient groups. The Virtual Hospitalist model at Eagle Ridge Hospital allows physicians working remotely to review patient charts, order treatments and document insights, which helps physicians and care teams in the hospital to focus on admitting new patients and providing hands on care. An AI-powered program is used by medical staff during colonoscopies to detect small, hard-to-see polyps. This system, trained on thousands of images, highlights suspicious lesions, allowing them to be removed, which significantly reduces future colorectal cancer risk. We have exciting projects ahead. 🌐 Transforming Ontario’s Primary Care with Digital Twin Technology 🌐 In the latest Canadian Healthcare Technology, our CEO Michael Millar discusses how digital twin technology can ease Ontario’s primary care challenges. With family doctors spending 19+ hours a week on admin tasks and 40% considering retirement within five years, digital twins can help by identifying at-risk patients early—without adding to clinicians' workloads. 👉 p. 21 https://lnkd.in/g4AiTNRZ #DigitalTwin #digitalhealth #PrimaryCare #HealthTech

Last week, Verto CEO Michael Millar sat down with our CMO Dr Michael Anderson, for the first of our 🔥 Fireside Chat 🔥 series to discuss the opportunities and challenges in supporting Virtual Mental Health Services. Sharing a few of the key take-aways: 👩💻 Providing Virtual Mental Health services goes far beyond virtual care, and includes care navigation, e-referrals, electronic prescribing and others. Done right, Virtual Mental Health is integrated into all care delivery models. 📉 Health systems struggling with providing accessible and equitable mental health care often see the impact of this in other areas (high ALC rates, over-stretched emergency departments, increased LOS) 🏥 Virtual mental health, by the nature of the services provided, presents an immediate and massive opportunity to reduce the illness burden - supporting vulnerable, remote & marginalized people. For some examples of Virtual Mental Care done right, take a look at Youth Wellness Hubs Ontario (YWHO) & CAMH 's Virtual Hub. #healthtech #digitalhealth #virtualcare #mentalhealth https://lnkd.in/gDu-xAV4

Did you know that Ontario has now lowered the age eligibility for the publicly-funded Ontario Breast Screening Program (OBSP) from 50 to 40? This is a great population health initiative for Ontarians, and means that 1,000,000 more women will now be eligible for the program. And with more eligible participants, it will also mean an increased volume of scheduling requests for imaging clinics participating in the OBSP. If your clinic still schedules all inbound patient requests via telephone, now might be a good time to consider self-serve scheduling technology to help manage wait times and free up valuable time for staff.
