A big thank you to Nicolette Gowan for joining us to discuss the importance of mental health and the "mental health continuum." We're proud to support the Women in Asset Management program at Western University’s Ivey Business School. This initiative offers students a month of in-class training followed by a 10-12 week internship at an asset management firm, empowering future female leaders in finance. Representation in financial roles is crucial, and there’s a pressing need for more women in this field. Our partnership with programs that promote diversity aligns with our commitment to building inclusive teams at TTCPP. Together, we can help pave the way for more women in asset management. Proud to say that our acting CEO, James Clarkson, CPA, CA, played a vital role in advocating for our members during recent updates to Ontario's pension regulations. These changes will strengthen the funding stability of jointly sponsored pension plans (JSPPs) and defined benefit (DB) plans. At TTCPP, we’re committed to safeguarding our members’ financial well-being and building a secure future together.
💡 New Pension Rule Changes: Strengthening Pension Security 💡 On October 16, 2024, the Ministry of Finance finalized key updates to Ontario’s pension regulations, set to take effect on January 1, 2025. I was actively involved in this process, collaborating with our jointly sponsored pension plan (JSPP) partners and providing independent feedback to ensure our members' unique needs were prioritized. These updates will enhance the funding stability of JSPPs and defined benefit (DB) plans, bolstering retirement income protection during economic uncertainty. At TTCPP, we remain committed to safeguarding our members' financial well-being through strong governance and strategic foresight. https://lnkd.in/gEKgvchQ #MinistryofFinance #FSRA #PensionSecurity #RetirementPlanning #TTCPP #PensionPlans
