Meet Monica, a dedicated team member at The Raw Carrot in Innerkip, where she’s found more than a job—she’s found a purpose. "For the past five years, I've had the joy and privilege of being employed at The Raw Carrot at Innerkip Presbyterian Church, a ministry that not only provides meaningful employment and monthly income but also nurtures a community of faith and support for individuals living with disabilities. Reflecting on my journey here, I feel led to share how deeply rewarding this experience has been—not only in my work but in my spiritual growth. Our work here is not only about making soup; it’s about building confidence, community, and faith. There is no doubt in my mind that God is at the helm of The Raw Carrot, guiding us all as we work together." Will you join us in creating opportunities for individuals like Monica to thrive? Every contribution helps cultivate a supportive and inclusive community. Donate by midnight December 31 to qualify for a 2024 tax deduction! Be the change! On the Road to Ottawa: Advocating for Social Purpose Employment and Sustainable Growth Rebecca Sherbino and I are excited to head to Ottawa today for two important events that align with our vision of empowering individuals who face barriers to traditional employment through the dignity of work and social enterprise. We are looking forward to engaging in meaningful conversations with Members of Parliament Arpana MP Khanna and Tracy Gray MP. These discussions will focus on advocating for policy changes and funding opportunities that support social purpose employment and enable initiatives like The Raw Carrot to scale and create life-changing opportunities for individuals who deserve a hand UP instead of a handout in life. Sustainable Finance Forum 2024 We’re thrilled to participate in the #SustainableFinance Forum, where forward-thinking leaders, policymakers, and advocates will gather to explore innovative solutions for sustainable economic and social growth. This is a critical moment to expand our impact by fostering new partnerships, identifying funding opportunities, and driving conversations about inclusive economic practices. Our mission is clear: to champion inclusive employment, advocate for sustainable solutions, and collaborate with changemakers to build stronger, more resilient communities. Follow along as we share updates from Ottawa and continue the journey of transforming lives through social enterprise! #AdvocacyInAction #SocialEnterprise #SustainableFinanceForum2024 #InclusiveEmployment #TheRawCarrot

We had the opportunity to speak with Suzanne F. Stevens, host of the YouMeWe Amplified Podcast to discuss creating supported work environments and how balancing social outcomes with income generation can lead to sustainability. We love the work YouMeWe Amplified is doing to celebrate, learn from, and be inspired by those who have created sustainable social, economic, or environmental initiatives, on the foundational belief that each of us has a responsibility to uplift the life of another. https://shorturl.at/uJRU2
