Today the City of Toronto and Rogers officially unveiled Taylor Swift Way, which will run from Nathan Phillips Square to Rogers Centre in celebration of Taylor Swift | The Eras Tour’s arrival in Toronto. We are proud to announce that we will match funds raised from the auctioning of the 22 commemorative street signs that mark the way, up to $113,000, with all proceeds going to Daily Bread Food Bank. This week, our CTO Mark Kennedy and the Rogers team visited SpaceX in Florida to meet with SpaceX leaders to get a behind-the-scenes look at the technology, and witnessed the launch of more Starlink satellites. We’re proud to be working with SpaceX to bring satellite-to-mobile phone coverage to ensure Canadians stay connected in areas beyond the limits of terrestrial wireless networks.  

We have reached a significant milestone in our efforts to take meaningful action on climate change. Rogers is the first national carrier in Canada to have approved science-based net-zero greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions targets published by the globally recognized Science Based Targets initiative (SBTi). We were honoured to open our fifth Downie-Wenjack Legacy Space in five years at our Rogers office in Calgary earlier this month. Special guests at the opening included members of the Downie and Wenjack families, Indigenous Elders, and Indigenous artists, who provided local art and story representation in the space. Legacy Spaces provide a safe space for Indigenous employees and allies to learn about and reflect on the impact of residential schools.
