It's Giving Tuesday, and there are plenty of reasons to give! Join us and be part of this global movement that celebrates generosity and encourages charitable giving. Our goal this GivingTuesday is to raise $15,000 of the $200,000 annual recreation budget - but we'll only reach that goal through the generosity of people like you. Your gift, of any amount, will make a difference - your kindness will provide group outings, live entertainment, special events (like the dog parade!) and music therapy for residents to enjoy. If you'd like to join in on the giving movement today, you can donate online at https://lnkd.in/gSgXcXAb or call 204.478.6270 to give by phone.

Bettering the everyday lives of the patients and residents at Riverview Health Centre.
About us
What if your life—or the life of a loved one—suddenly changed, and round-the-clock care or rehabilitation services were needed? As healthy people, it’s easy to take simple experiences for granted—experiences like having the correct bed to sleep in, furniture suited to our needs and appropriate bathroom equipment. We also need activities that we can do, entertainment that we can enjoy, and sidewalks and benches so that we can enjoy the outdoors. These are examples of what our Foundation invests in to improve the lives of residents and patients at Riverview Health Centre. People come here by referral or application only, because we are able to provide care like no other long-term care facility in Manitoba. Our job at the Foundation is to make sure Riverview patients and residents enjoy the best quality of life possible, whether they’re recovering from a stroke or living in our Alzheimer’s Centre of Excellence. You have the opportunity to help us give them the quality of life they deserve.

We are so grateful for the generous donation from Red River Coop towards our 2 West Community, and their new recliners! Individuals in the 2 West community are managing chronic respiratory conditions. For these individuals, the recliners offer more than relaxation because they maintain a sense of dignity for the user while providing relief from the symptoms they experience. Thank you, Red River Co-op, for your support! Your donation will make a positive impact on everyone living, visiting, and working within 2 West.

What an incredible night on Wednesday at Laughs and Libations, being able to celebrate Kristie and her accomplishments! Thank you for everything you’ve done for Riverview and the Foundation. You have truly impacted the lives of those who live at Riverview!
President, Linking Hope | Not-for-Profit Consultant | Linking People’s Time, Talent & Treasure with those in Need
Thank you, Riverview Health Centre Foundation staff, volunteers & board for the honour on Wednesday night. The Riverview Foundation was one of the first non-profit boards I worked on. I finally could use my marketing and business skills to make a real difference in our community. I guess you can say this is where I caught the non-profit bug. The most important thing I have learned while doing non-profit work is that everyone needs a circle of support—we need people to have our backs when we are vulnerable. The Riverview Hospital and its staff have an incredible way of providing folks with a circle of supports when they are at their most vulnerable. Our hospitals need each of us to step up to ensure that when we or our loved ones are most vulnerable, someone is there to make us smile. We all need to step up & give what we can to support the folks working hard to do just that. What a hilariously funny comedy night supporting a great cause! I was honoured to be a part of the evening. #fundraiser #gala #Riverview #winnipeg #volunteer #giveback
