🌱𝐄𝐦𝐞𝐫𝐠𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐀𝐥𝐭 𝐂𝐥𝐚𝐬𝐬 – 𝐅𝐨𝐫𝐞𝐬𝐭 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐃𝐞𝐟𝐞𝐧𝐜𝐞 𝐁𝐨𝐧𝐝𝐬 🌱 Investing in alternative assets have the ability to shape the world we live, as well as our future, and that is exactly what the women of Lithuania are doing. “Women prefer to invest in causes and concerns that matter to them such as ideas that will benefit society as a whole,” (Barbara Stewart, 2024). With a focus on protecting their environment 🌳 and ensuring family safety 🛡️, Lithuanian women are turning to forest (nature) bonds and defence (war) bonds—investment options that offer both positive returns 📈 and a meaningful impact. Nora Laurinaityte, PhD, Green Finance Expert of INVEGA, Vilnius, Lithuania, shares insights on the alternative assets gaining popularity among Lithuanian women and the transformative impact they are driving. 🌍💚 📖 To read more about investment sectors of particular interest to women in alts, visit section 2 of the white paper from Barbara Stewart, CFA sponsored by Kensington: https://lnkd.in/eHdFqjXG #ALTS4WOMEN #WomenInFinance #AlternativeInvestments #Video #NatureBonds #WarBonds

Missed the latest episode of PE Market Pulse? Our Private Equity Assurance Leader, Braham Moondi, CPA, CA, was joined by Liam Cheung, Managing Director at Kensington Capital Partners Limited. Here are some of the key takeaways from their conversation: 1) Changing consumer preferences impacting retail margins —Consumer preferences on how and where they shop, along with their acquisition costs are rising, resulting in compressed margins. And price increases are being met with resistance by consumers. 2) American PE investors are here to stay—With large amounts of dry powder in the US and lack of quality assets with reasonable valuations, American investors are looking north of the border opening a new pool of interested buyers. With a similar economic and operating culture, these investors are here to stay. 3) Back to basics for retail and consumer businesses —They’re asking who their core clients are, how do their products meet the needs of their core customers, how they can meet their customers’ needs and wants to generate loyalty and retention.
