Happy Boxing Day! We get it. Packing costs a lot of money to have done professionally. While we highly recommend that you have your valuables and breakables packed by your moving company, you may opt to pack yourself. Here's some important packing tips to help you prepare for your move. https://ow.ly/JnsN50Qh3uS If you are packing yourself, talk to your mover to understand how replacement cost protection works - and what is covered. About us
Founded in 1969, the Canadian Association of Movers (CAM) is Canada’s only trade association representing moving and storage companies. We are a not-for-profit non-regulatory body. Our members include movers and relocation companies, van lines, international movers both in Canada and overseas, suppliers to the industry, businesses that provide moving-related services such as packing services, and trade associations in other countries. We promote ethics and professionalism for Canadian movers. CAM works with government consumer-protection agencies, the Better Business Bureau and consumer associations to provide consumers with resources to find credible, professional movers, and as well to assist in resolving problems, if they should arise, following a move.

Make sure your moving company is legit. If a mover doesn't provide insurance details, a company address, workers compensation and an HST number, keep searching. And just for fun, find out their street address, so you can find them after they have loaded all of your belongings onto their truck and driven away. Be Safe. Be sure. #KnowYourMover #TrustedAndReliableMovers

Moving? Three Basic Questions You Need to Ask You are about to move and have to choose a mover. You will be offered a wide variety of services at prices that differ from mover to mover. Some prices will be significantly different from others. Ask yourself the following questions: 1. What am I risking by not fully checking out my mover? (Hint: All my possessions will be in their care.) 2. Will my goods arrive on time, complete and in good condition? 3. Is this mover capable of doing the job? Would you like help locating a trusted, professional mover in your neighbourhood? Contact the Canadian Association of Movers at 1-866-860-0065 or check out www.mover.net
