We are incredibly proud of the historical moments we’ve celebrated in our first year since rebranding as CAFE. We have so much more to share from the Summit as we progress through Financial Literacy Month! The Professional Headshots and Video Footgage is on it's way so get ready! Any attendees who have photos that we haven't posted, please send them in! A special shoutout to Mesi - Meseret Haileyesus , CEO of the Canadian Center For Women's Empowerment (CCFWE) (www.ccfwe.org), who hosted two impactful sessions at our Financial Literacy Leaders Summit, bringing her expertise and passion to our community of leaders and change-makers. We were also honoured to have William Moores, CEO of the Canadian Association for Financial Empowerment (CAFE-ACAF.org) and National Certification Body for the AFCC program, alongside Lauren Canafranca AFCC® our Director of Education and Community Development. At CAFE’s core, is authenticity. We will always be committed to amplifying the voices of those dedicated to making a difference and showcasing their excellence in the best way we can. The theme, after all, is: “An Industry United = Communities Empowered.” The more united we are, the more that others can see our organizations together, the better we rise united on behalf of the catchments we serve. Let's help each other shine and elevate each other in true community. Unite and stand with us. CAFE welcomes everyone with passion for this cause to connect as we continue to elevate all that strive toward a brighter future for Canadians. #financialLiteracyMonth #AFCCCertified #AFCC #CodeofEthics #StandardsOfPractice #legscy #FinancialLiteracy #financialLiteracyandCounselling #Canada #Certification #Accreditation #GlobalLeader #WelcomeToTheNewEra #HoldTheStandard #TrustedMark #EmpowermentCAFE #CAFEConnect #LearningLab #AFCCIndustryNews #HumanFristApproach #GrowWithUs #StrategicImpactFund #IndustriesUnitedequalsCommunitiesEmpowered

I've caught my breath so now I can tell you about the last two days! Canadian Association for Financial Empowerment (CAFE-ACAF.org) hosted it's annual Leadership Summit and it was so good! William Moores and Lauren Canafranca AFCC® pulled together the diverse group of accredited financial counsellors and coaches in Canada and we had a time! It was affirming to finally find my community of Canadian financial empowerment coaches in Kristen Wood of Spark-LES and Sherry Kwok B.A. B.Ed., AFCC, the Wealth Warrior. When you hear about the work of organizations like CAFE, West Neighbourhood House (Formerly St. Christopher House), @Canadian Centre for Women's Empowerment-CCFWE and Credit Canada you can't help but be proud to share space with their leaders. With so much inspiration percolating, you know there's gonna be some more insights to share so stay tuned. I am so proud to be part of this organization and so excited for the innovation to come. Here's to bringing a non-judgmental, ethical and equitable approach to financial wellness in Canada!

I am truly honored to provide communication consultancy services to the incredible team of the Canadian Center For Women's Empowerment (CCFWE) and I’m support of the #HelpUsRise2024 campaign! Working alongside the inspiring Mesi - Meseret Haileyesus, the CCFWE’s Founder and CEO, has been a privilege as we support a mission with deep purpose. CCFWE is not only committed to preventing economic abuse but also to empowering survivors to rebuild their lives, advocate for change, and ainspire real action across Canada. This year’s campaign theme, Tech-Facilitated Economic Abuse, is especially timely as we navigate an increasingly digitized world. Together, we’re working to bring awareness to this critical issue and mobilize Canada’s policymakers, government institutions, financial institutions, banks, and key opinion leaders to drive impactful change through real solutions and support. Be part of this incredible journey and #HelpUsRise, https://lnkd.in/ggdhpkuX I am a forever advocate for work with purpose, and I am grateful to contribute to such an inspiring cause, team, and organization. Together, we will RISE! 💪🤍 #EndEconomicAbuse #HelpUsRise2024 #PurposeDrivenWork

🌟 Leaders in Empowerment at the Financial Literacy Leaders Summit 🌟 The Canadian Association for Financial Empowerment (CAFE) is proud to bring together a remarkable group of industry leaders and change-makers for the 2024 Financial Literacy Leaders Summit. This year’s summit highlights our unwavering commitment to raising the standard of financial counselling, literacy, and empowerment in Canada. This diverse lineup represents not just a collection of experts, but a movement toward deeper collaboration, inclusivity, and resilience. As we stand together, we reaffirm our mission to create a true culture of financial dignity for every Canadian, offering them the tools and support needed to dream beyond limitations and seize the future they deserve. While our CEO represents several marginalized communities, this year’s focus on empowerment is not just a theme—it is a commitment. A commitment to inclusivity, equity, and the power of financial literacy to open new doors for all. 🔍 We are still seeking organizations that recognize their social responsibility to give back. Canada is in an affordability crisis, and those who are there to pick up the pieces need your help. Especially if you’re an organization with privilege and funding that comes from the Canadian communities where you’ve thrived—stand with us to empower Canadians. We welcome your support to our Strategic Impact Fund, providing scholarships, education, and direct impact to those in need. We have a terribly long list of well deserving experts of all regions and communities. You may not know that even the smallest contribution or a gift to some may seem little, to some it creates a snowball of empowerment that ripples throughout the entirety of the person who wishes to help but also each and every Canadian that will benefit directly by that support. 📧 For inquiries about sponsorship or contributions, contact us through our website at: https://lnkd.in/gbFPNjVn 🔗 Register now for the Summit at: https://www.cafe-acaf.org #CAFELeaders #FinancialEmpowerment #Leadership #AFCC #Empowerment #Inclusivity #CommunitySupport #2024CAFESummit #DoYouHoldTheStandard
