Congratulations to our LaRonde Complex friends and colleagues on the recent production of their 8 millionth ounce of gold! #DYK LaRonde achieved commercial production in 1988 and its processing plant has been expanded four times since then. It’s 2.2-km deep Penna Shaft is the deepest single-lift shaft in the Western Hemisphere and in 2016, LaRonde’s operations reached a depth of 3,008 metres, becoming the deepest mine in the Americas!
